    摘要: A failure detection device for a vehicle speaker includes a signal generator, an amplifier, a coupling capacitor, a supply circuit, a detection circuit, and a determination section. The signal generator generates a sound signal corresponding to sound outputted from the speaker. The amplifier amplifies the sound signal. The capacitor supplies the amplified sound signal to the speaker. The supply circuit supplies a direct-current test current to the speaker so that the test current does not flow through the capacitor by applying a test voltage to the speaker. The test voltage is higher than a voltage of the sound signal. The detection circuit detects a terminal voltage of the speaker. The determination section determines whether at least one of an open-circuit and a short-circuit occurs in the speaker based on the terminal voltage during application of the sound signal to the speaker.

    摘要: A drive circuit supplies a charging current via a charging path to drive the control terminal of a voltage-controlled switching device, with a resistor and a switching device being connected in series in the charging path. A control circuit in an integrated circuit of the drive circuit operates an internal switching device such as to selectively enable/interrupt the charging current and to regulate the voltage drop across the resistor to a fixed value. The switching device connected in the charging path can be readily changed from the internal switching device to an external switching device, in accordance with the operating requirements of the driven switching device.

    摘要: An abnormal combustion detection apparatus detects an abnormal combustion of an internal combustion based on a vibration waveform from a vibration sensor attached to the internal combustion engine. A gain circuit of the apparatus amplifies or attenuates the vibration waveform from the vibration sensor, an AD conversion circuit converts a waveform provided by the gain circuit to digital data, and a gain switching unit switches a gain of the gain circuit from a small gain value to a large gain value at a gain switch timing. The gain switching unit separates a large abnormal combustion from a small abnormal combustion in an abnormal combustion determination period for maximizing a dynamic range of an AD conversion circuit and for securely detecting a change of waveform amplitude in case of gain switching in an abnormal combustion detection operation.

The apparatus includes a constant current circuit that applies a constant current to the control terminal, a voltage-limiting circuit that limits the voltage on the control terminal so as not to exceed a limiting voltage, and a control circuit that controls the constant current circuit to apply the constant current to the control terminal when having received a drive signal for turning on the switching element, and controls the voltage-limiting circuit to limit the voltage on the control terminal for a voltage-limiting time period. The control circuit includes a memory storing the characteristic information and variably sets at least one of the limiting voltage, the voltage-limiting time period, and the constant current in response to the characteristic information.

The drive circuit drives an in-vehicle load according to a driving signal outputted from a microcomputer. The pulse monitor circuit monitors a pulse signal outputted from the microcomputer when the microcomputer is in a normal state. The pulse monitor circuit resets the microcomputer and instructs the prohibition circuit to prohibit the drive circuit from driving the in-vehicle load when it is determined that the microcomputer is in an abnormal state. Further, the pulse monitor circuit instructs the prohibition circuit to permit the drive circuit to drive the in-vehicle load when it is determined that the microcomputer is in the normal state after resetting of the microcomputer.

After transmission of the reference message, each of all the ECUs transmits priority information of its transmit message onto a communication bus, and then detects whether some priority information transmitted from the other ECUs has a higher priority than its own transmitted priority information. If there is detected no priority information of a higher priority than its own transmitted priority information, it transmits a message associated therewith, and then is prohibited to transmit data of the same priority until receiving a next reference message.

    摘要: An electronic system has a capacitor that smoothes voltage of a direct current source, a resistance circuit that discharges charge of the capacitor, and an inverter circuit that converts the smoothed voltage into a three-phase ac voltage and applies this ac voltage to a motor. The resistance circuit has resistors and patterned wires disposed on a substrate such that the wires serially connect the resistors to discharge charge of the capacitor. The resistors are aligned in a straight line. The resistors located at positions different from ends of the series of resistors have resistance values lower than resistance values of the resistors located at respective ends of the series of resistors. More preferably, as the position of one resistor approaches the center of the series of resistors, the resistor is set at a lower the resistance value.
