摘要: The present invention comprises a computer-implemented method for interactive geological interpretation, structural modeling and structural restoration, in which instantaneous feedback is provided to an interpreter. A software module is loaded into and executed by the computer system to implement the method of the invention. The method and system are employed by a technician or scientist, such as an earth scientist, geologist or geophysicist, hereinafter called an “interpreter”. Using the method and system, the interpreter can make skilled qualitative and quantitative appraisals of geologic structures that occur within the upper parts of the earth's crust, including both the current state of such structures and their kinematic development through time. One use of such appraisals is to evaluate resources found in structures within sedimentary basins, including but not limited to oil and gas resources. The method and system can be used to train novice and advanced interpreters to improve their understanding.

摘要: An improved vacuum box assembly for use in printed circuit board manufacturing where the printed circuit board is supported during manufacturing operations on the second side of the board. The vacuum box uses a unique and improved side plate that securely retains commercially available substrate support devices within the vacuum box. The side plate has a retention cavity configured to receive one or more substrate support devices therein. The side plate retains the substrate support device in a desired position. Open or unoccupied regions of the retention cavity may be sealed by use of specifically configured vacuum blocking plates.

摘要: A precision Doppler effect compensator provides Doppler compensation in astic transmission by simultaneously sending a known reference signal with an information signal. The information signal and reference signal undergo identical Doppler effects. The compensator uses the Doppler shifted reference signal to sample the analog Doppler affected information signal. The analog information signals are digitally converted and stored in a first in first out shift register. The samples are read out of the FIFO at a rate corresponding to the frequency of a non-Doppler shifted reference signal so as to precisely reconstruct the information signal as transmitted. The samples read from the FIFO are reconverted from digital to analog form to be presented to a receiving modem for further information processing.

摘要: An integrated circuit package comprising an enclosure including a dielectric housing, a first electrical contact, and a second electrical contact. The dielectric housing, the first electrical contact, and the second electrical contact are configured to form a contact side of the enclosure. In addition, the first and second electrical contacts are sized to be substantially alignment insensitive for electro-mechanical connection to corresponding contacts of an end-use equipment. The enclosure encapsulates an integrated circuit die which is electrically coupled to the first and second electrical contacts. The alignment insensitive first and second electrical contacts may be electro-mechanically connected to corresponding contacts of an end-use equipment (e.g., a printer). Further, the integrated circuit package may be hosted by a peripheral device (e.g., a printer cartridge).

摘要: A method of authenticating a first document (270) including content (271) and a barcode (272). The barcode (272) comprising barcode elements each having a predetermined form. A plurality of the barcode elements of the barcode are detected in a representation of the first document (270). A visual difference between each of the detected barcode elements and the predetermined form of the barcode element is determined. The barcode (272) is decoded to determine a second document. The first document (270) and the second document are compared based on the determined visual difference, in order to authenticate the first document (270).
