摘要: A novel method of operating a Distributed Cable Modem Termination System is provided. Each branch CMTS node in a distributed CMTS supports a complete CMTS system and with full-spectrum ports. One or more MAC domains are defined at each branch CMTS node. A MAC domain defined at a branch CMTS node includes only service flows of the CMs that are connected to the branch CMTS node. Identifiers of service flows coming from a branch CMTS node are always unique, i.e., two different service flows of the branch CMTS would always have different SIDs, even if they belong to different MAC domains. On the other hand, service flows belonging to different branch CMTS nodes are free to reuse the same identifiers.

摘要: A first base station synchronizes with one or more second base stations by transmitting, from the first base station, a first timing reference signal and receiving, at the first base station, one or more second timing reference signals transmitted by the one or more second base stations. The method also includes determining one or more first timing offsets between the first base station and the one or more second base stations based on the one or more second timing reference signals. The method further includes adjusting a timing associated with the first base station based on the one or more first timing offsets and one or more second timing offsets determined based on the first timing reference signal.

摘要: The present disclosure generally discloses an autonomous localization capability configured to determine the localization of a mobile device of a wireless communication network based on a sequence of observations reported by the mobile device and a model that represents the motion and observations of mobile devices of the wireless communication network. The model that represents the motion and observations of the mobile devices may be a Hidden Markov Model (HMM) constructed based on use of localization information to define the hidden states of the and use of signal strength measurement reporting information to define possible observations. The localization problem for determining a localization of a given mobile device then becomes a maximum a posterior problem represented by the HMM, which may be solved using a particle filter based localization algorithm using localization probability distribution information which may be determined based on signal strength measurement reporting information.

摘要: An optical apparatus comprising a reflective optical modulator and an integrated planar lightwave circuit. The circuit can have one or more pairs of input and output planar waveguides thereon. The input planar waveguide is optically coupleable to a first optical fiber and the output optical waveguide is optically coupleable to a second optical fiber. End segments of the input planar waveguide and the output planar waveguide are tilted towards each other such that the input planar waveguide is able to direct an optical signal from the planar lightwave circuit to a reflective modulator. The reflective optical modulator is configured to data modulate the optical signal and transmit said data modulated optical signal to the end segment of the output planar waveguide.

摘要: Embodiments provide a mobile communications device that includes a processor configured to communicate with a transceiver and a memory. The transceiver is configured to exchange control signals with a network node. The memory contains instructions that when executed by the processor configure the processor to operate the transceiver to exchange the control signals. The instructions further configure the processor to pass a first proper subset of the control signals to a remote device without operating according to the control signals, and to operate according to control signals in a second proper subset of the control signals. The processor is thereby configured to operate on behalf of a remote communication device to support communication between the remote communication device and the network node.

摘要: Various exemplary embodiments relate to a network node in a distributed dynamic cloud, the node including: a memory; and a processor configured to: observe a local queue backlog at the beginning of a timeslot, for each of a plurality of commodities; compute a processing utility weight for a first commodity based upon the local queue backlog of the first commodity, the local queue backlog of a second commodity, and a processing cost; where the second commodity may be the succeeding commodity in a service chain; compute an optimal commodity using the processing utility weights; wherein the optimal commodity is the commodity with the highest utility weight; assign the number of processing resource units allocated to the timeslot to zero when the processing utility weight of the optimal commodity is less than or equal to zero; and execute processing resource allocation and processing flow rate assignment decisions based upon the optimal commodity.

摘要: Various embodiments relate to a method including: coupling one or more optical spatial pilot signals into a first end of optical fiber, wherein the optical fiber is a multimode optical fiber; Reflecting and modifying each mode of the optical pilot signals at a second end of the optical fiber; receiving a reflected portion of the one or more optical spatial pilot signals at the first end of the of the optical fiber in response to the reflected portion having propagated through the optical fiber in both directions; processing the reflected spatial pilot to determine components of one of a round-trip transfer matrix of the optical fiber and a single-direction transfer matrix of the optical fiber.
