摘要: A method and system for suspending a target above a surface that provides for supporting a support member above the surface. A hanger is used to suspend a target from the support member. When the target is hanging from the support member, it is induced into an angle so that its top portion is closer to a shooter. When the target is struck by an incoming projectile, it is allowed to pivot downward from its initial position and the target is also restrained from rotating about the axis of suspension.

摘要: A method and apparatus for supporting a post used to support a ballistic target. A post is supported in a vertical position by retention in a post stand. The post stand is assembled using a bottom plate, a top plate and two side plates. Once assembled, the post stand receives a post. Two types of posts are contemplated. One post type is made of wood. A second post type is made of steel and projects a low profile toward a shooter. A top hanger is then installed over the post and provides mounting holes so that a target can be suspended therefrom.

摘要: A system and method are disclosed for calibrating non-linear behavior using attenuated stimuli and responses which allows for calibration with unknown stimulus and less expensive sources and receivers. The device under test is stimulated with a signal and then an attenuated version of the same signal, so that non-linear differences between responses can be attributed to the device rather than the signal source. Alternatively, or in conjunction with attenuation of the stimulus, the output of the device at different response amplitudes can be selectively attenuated such that the receiver measures approximately the same amplitude. This allows non-linear differences between measurements to be attributed to the device rather than the receiver. Two or more different signal sources can also be used, where responses are measured for each signal individually and then for at least one linear combination of signals.

摘要: A method and apparatus for presenting a target wherein a horizontal support member is supported above a surface and a target is supported from the horizontal member. From a starting position the target is allowed to deflect when struck by a projectile. By minimizing the forward looking profile of the horizontal support member, projectiles are less likely to strike it.

摘要: Generally, the embodiments presented are directed to circuits and methods for triggering an event at a fraction of a clock cycle. A triggering circuit can comprise two or more input circuits that output an event signal. The event signal is received by one of two or more delay circuits that trigger the event signal at a predetermined phase of the clock cycle by moving the event signal from a first clock domain to another clock domain. By triggering the event at a phase division, the triggering circuit outputs signals at a rate faster than the clock cycle.

摘要: Generally, the embodiments are directed to circuits and methods for time stamping an event at a fraction of a clock cycle. A time stamping circuit comprises two or more detection circuits. The detection circuits receive an event-in signal and generate event signals based on a clock phase at which the event-in signal was received. A decoder receives the event signals and outputs an event-out signal and a time stamp that represents the phase at which the event-in signal was detected. By time stamping the event-in signal to a phase division, the time stamping circuit detects event signals that occur at a rate faster than the clock cycle.
