The family interaction engine may provide for creation of a user group. The family channel may present content of interest to multiple users in the user group. When a user is detected near the data processing system, the family interaction engine may automatically present content of interest to that user. When used for presenting media content, the data processing system may also cause supplemental data to automatically be presented, wherein the supplemental data is relevant to the media content and to a predetermined interest of the user. The data processing system may also provide a ranked list of applications for potential activation by the user. The applications may be ordered based on the current context. 摘要: Techniques are disclosed that involve providing enhanced user experiences involving the consumption and management of content. For instance, embodiments provide user interface elements that present information regarding content that overcomes barriers or silos between application and platforms. Examples of such user interface elements include a three dimensional carousel, a preview stack, a favorites button, and a My Channel user interface. Also, embodiments may provide techniques for obtaining contextual content. Such techniques include, but are not limited to, zooming mechanisms and combining (or “mashup”) mechanisms.

摘要: Systems and methods may provide for an implementation of an augmented reality element. A logic architecture may be employed to coordinate the implementation of the augmented reality element based on an input and in response to when a user is to view the augmented reality element. The logic architecture may also be employed to perform an association between the input and the implementation of an augmented reality element, wherein the association is to be defined by the user. Additionally, the logic architecture may be employed to include a guide input to guide the implementation, for example a guide input to guide the conduct, of the augmented reality element.

摘要: Technologies for automated context-aware media curation include a computing device that captures context data associated with media objects. The context data may include location data, proximity data, behavior data of the user, and social activity data. The computing device generates inferred context data using one or more cognitive or machine learning algorithms. The inferred context data may include semantic time or location data, activity data, or sentiment data. The computing device updates a user context model and an expanded media object graph based on the context data and the inferred context data. The computing device selects one or more target media objects using the user context model and the expanded media object graph. The computing device may present context-aware media experiences to the user with the target media objects. Context-aware media experiences may include contextual semantic search and contextual media browsing. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

The techniques include receiving data from a sensor indicating movement of the device, and determining whether the device movement is associated with a predetermined device movement. Based on the determination, the techniques include modifying a power state of the device from either a first power state to a second power state, or from the second power state to the first power state, wherein the device consumes more power in the first power state than in the second power state.
