For example, a method comprises optimizing one or more parameters of a natural language processing system so as to improve a measure of quality of an output of the natural language processing system for a first type of data processed by the natural language processing system while maintaining a given measure of quality of an output of the natural language processing system for a second type of data processed by the natural language processing system. For example, the first type of data may have a substantive complexity that is greater than that of the second type of data. Thus, when the natural language processing system is a machine translation system, use of a conditional value at risk metric for the translation quality provides for a high quality output of the machine translation system for data of a high substantive complexity (for sophisticated users) while maintaining an average quality output for average data (for average users).

The method includes collecting parallel sentences from a source and a target language, creating at least one word alignment between the parallel sentences in the source and the target language, mapping at least one pronoun from the target language sentence onto the source language sentence, computing at least one feature from the mapping, wherein the at least one feature is extracted from both the source language and the at least one pronoun projected from the target language, and using the at least one feature to train a classifier to predict position and spelling of at least one pronoun in the target language when the at least one pronoun is dropped in the source language.

    摘要: In a method and apparatus for controlling operation of a wireless device, a host assembly of the wireless device enters into a handshaking procedure with firmware of the wireless device to initiate entry into or exit from a host sleep mode. Before such entry or exit, the handshaking procedure may require the host assembly to send an initiation handshake signal to the firmware, and require the firmware to send a confirmation handshake signal back to the host assembly. Entry or exit may be delayed until after the confirmation signal is received. The confirmation signal may vary depending on the handshaking configuration and activation data, and the confirmation signal may vary depending on whether the wireless device is in a power save mode or not.

    摘要: The present invention relates to air purification techniques and provides an air purifier. The air purifier comprises a shell with an air inlet and an air outlet. An electric field filter, an air passage and a blower are disposed inside the shell. The electric field filter comprises a filter frame disposed at the air outlet and a grid base disposed under the filter frame. A filter is provided inside the filter frame. One end of the air passage connects with the grid base and the other end connects with the blower. The blower is disposed at the air inlet. The filter frame and the grid base are integrated as a hermetic whole. Due to the integrated configuration of the filter frame and the grid base, when removing out the electric field filter, the power is cut automatically. This effectively prevents an occurrence of the electroshock, and improves safety performance of the purifier. Furthermore, air leakage can be greatly reduced, for there is no gap between the filter frame and the grid base.
