摘要： According to a first aspect of the present invention there is provided a method of providing interactive IP Television to a user terminal 1 over an IP Multimedia Subsystem 2. The method comprises, at a content server 3, sending the IP Television content and an interactive object to the user terminal 1 via the IP Multimedia Subsystem 2. At the user terminal 1, displaying graphical components of the interactive object together with the IP Television content, accepting user input to the interactive object and sending the input to an evaluation server 4 via the IP Multimedia Subsystem 2. At the evaluation server 4, comparing the user input with answer information associated with the interactive object and sending a result of the comparison to the user terminal 1 via the IP Multimedia Subsystem 2.

摘要： A method for providing switching of a media session transmitted from a content server to a user equipment from a multicast to a unicast bearer. A preparation trigger recognised by the user equipment triggers a preparation phase wherein an application server prepares for an upcoming switch by re-configuring the media session and by providing the re-configuration data to the user equipment. Subsequent to the preparation phase, a second trigger triggers a release phase, wherein the multicast bearer is released, and the media session is resumed by the unicast bearer.

An infrastructure provider associates a set of device identification numbers to a first radio access provider in a subscription database of the infrastructure provider. The infrastructure provider also sets the first radio access provider as a preferred roaming partner in a SIM that comprises a subscriber identifier with a network identifier of the infrastructure provider. The SIM is provided for use in the device, to enable access to the network infrastructure over a radio access network of the first radio access provider based on the subscriber identifier and the preferred roaming partner in the SIM.

A method for publishing presence service information to a presence server includes: receiving, at a registrar node, a session initiation protocol (SIP) message originated by a user equipment (UE) over the air interface; and transmitting a third party register message based upon the received SIP message, from the registrar node, toward a presence server using network signaling, wherein the third party register message includes at least one of information associated with the user of the UE, capabilities of the UE and presence related services offered by the UE.

摘要： An IMS-enabled control channel for an IPTV service is provided by receiving at a Serving Call/State Control Function (S-CSCF) a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) REGISTER message, the SIP REGISTER message identifying the originating user, receiving at the originating user a response from the S-CSCF indicating that the originating user has been authorised, and sending a SIP INVITE message from the S-CSCF to establish an open channel connection with a selected IPTV Application Server (AS). This open channel connection can then be used for the transmission of control messages, such as for starting play, starting recording, stopping play, etc., between the STB and the IPTV applications server, as well as for the delivery of personalized content, such as advertisements, voting responses, personalized voting triggers and targeted interactive events. By maintaining an open control channel with the IPTV AS, this offers a substantial reduction in the setup delay times for different applications.
