摘要: One example includes an isochronous receiver system. The system includes a pulse receiver configured to receive an input data signal from a transmission line and to convert the input data signal to a pulse signal. The system also includes a converter system comprising a phase converter system. The phase converter system includes a plurality of pulse converters associated with a respective plurality of sampling windows across a period of an AC clock signal. At least two of the sampling windows overlap at any given phase of the AC clock signal, such that the converter system is configured to generate an output pulse signal that is phase-aligned with at least one of a plurality of sampling phases of the AC clock signal based on associating the pulse signal with at least two of the sampling windows.

摘要: A system which, with data provided by one or more sensors, detects a user's alteration of the geometries of parts of his face, head, neck, and/or shoulders. It determines the extent of each alteration and normalizes it with respect to the maximum possible range of each alteration so as to assign to each part-specific alteration a numeric score indicative of its extent. The normalized part-specific scores are combined so as to produce a composite numeric code representative of the complete set of simultaneously-executed geometric alterations. Each composite code is translated, or interpreted, relative to an appropriate context defined by an embodiment, an application executing on an embodiment, or by the user. For example, each composite code might be interpreted as, or assigned to, a specific alphanumeric letter, a color, a musical note, etc. Through the use of this system, a user may communicate data and/or commands to a computerized device, while retaining full use of his hands and his voice for other tasks, and while being free to focus his visual attention on something other than the system.

The invention comprises a rectangular cuboid body member having front, rear, left, right, top, and bottom surfaces which substantially approximates the shape of a predefined number of microscope slides, with a recessed area with grooves to accept one slide index marker card for recording the patient's case information, or other relevant information. When multiples of the present invention are used within a microscope slide storage system, they point to locations where pluralities of microscopes slides should be returned, and provides a support structure for neighboring microscope slides within the storage location from becoming askew or broken within the microscope slide storage system.

摘要: A novel architecture for a data sharing system (DSS) is disclosed and seeks to ensure the privacy and security of users' personal information. In this type of network, a user's personally identifiable information is stored and transmitted in an encrypted form, with few exceptions. The only key with which that encrypted data can be decrypted, and thus viewed, remains in the sole possession of the user and the user's friends/contacts within the system. This arrangement ensures that a user's personally identifiable information cannot be examined by anyone other than the user or his friends/contacts. This arrangement also makes it more difficult for the web site or service hosting the DSS to exploit its users' personally identifiable information. Such a system facilitates the encryption, storage, exchange and decryption of personal, confidential and/or proprietary data.

摘要: The present invention is an engine having a housing, a rotor and a plurality of vanes. The housing has a cavity with an outer wall that has an inlet region, an insulation or hot region, a thermal separator, a chill region, a work region and a return region. The vanes define cavities that rotate between the rotor and the housing. Hot gas enters in the inlet region, which can have a slot. The cavity is full of hot gas in the insulation region. The temperature is reduced in the chill region, which causes the pressure to likewise drop to a relative low pressure. In the work region, the diameter of the outer wall is reduced. The pressure differential between successive cavities causes the rotor to turn in the direction of the decreasing wall length, whereby work can then be extracted from the engine.
