Abstract:
The present disclosure describes an automated blend in-cup apparatus and the related method of operation. The disclosure relates generally to the field of mixing consumable material. More specifically, the disclosure relates to a mixer that is automatically operable to lower a mixing blade into a cup or vessel that contains material to be blended/mixed. A shield is automatically lowered to at least partially isolate the cup. After mixing, the shield and blade are automatically retracted, and the cup is removed from the apparatus. The shield and blade may be automatically lowered again for a cleaning operation. Use of the apparatus can be accomplished with one hand. Overall, the apparatus contains various structural and safety elements that provide a unique construction and method of operating the apparatus. The apparatus is effective, fast, easy to operate, safe, and clean.
Abstract:
Shaped absorbent units suitable for use as chloride absorbents comprising a calcined intimate mixture of an alkali or alkaline earth, zinc and aluminium components having an alkali or alkaline earth mental to zinc atomic ratio in the range 0.5x to 2.5x and an alkali or alkaline earth metal to aluminium atomic ratio in the range 0.5x to 1.5x, where x is the valency of the alkali or alkaline earth metal, and containing from 5 to 20% by weight of a binder. Preferred compositions are made from sodium carbonate or bicarbonate, basic zinc carbonate or zinc oxide and alumina or hydrated alumina.
Abstract:
A theft-deterrent ironing system comprises an electrical extension cord and an electric iron. The electrical extension cord has a female electrical connector at one end and a male electrical connector at an opposite end. The female electrical connector is adapted for mounting to an ironing board. The male electrical connector is adapted to be plugged into a standard electrical receptacle. The electric iron has a power cord with a first end electrically connected to the iron and a second end connected to a modified male electrical connector. The modified male electrical connector has a front face with a peripheral edge margin, a pair of electrical terminal prongs and a flange. The electrical terminal prongs project forwardly from the front face of the modified male electrical connector. The flange projects forwardly from the peripheral edge margin of the front face generally parallel to the electrical terminal prongs. The flange has an interior surface that is adapted to fit over at least a portion of the female electrical connector, when the modified male electrical connector is connected to the female electrical connector. An associated mounting bracket is configured for mounting the electrical extension cord to the ironing board by retaining at least a portion of the female electrical connector within a housing portion of the bracket.

Abstract:
A food processor has a main body (10) with a base member (12) extending laterally. A bowl (16) sits on the base member (12) and a one-piece drive shaft (18) extends up through the bowl. A hollow lid (32) fits on the bowl (16) and the upper part of the drive shaft (18) is positioned in the lid space. A chopping or S blade (26) fits on the lower part of the drive shaft (18) is positioned in the lid space. A chopping or S blade (26) fits on the lower part of the shaft. A slicer shredder disc (40) and a displacement disc (46), can be positioned at the upper part of the shaft. Access to a delivery chute (36) on the lid is provided by a removable gate (50). The only removable parts of the food processor are the S blade, the slicer/shredder disc, the displacement disc and the removable gate.
