摘要: Method of operating an energy system, said energy system comprising: a local common transmission bus; at least one local energy connected to said bus; at least one local load connected to said bus; an energy store connected to said bus; a controllable interface arranged to exchange energy between said bus and an external distribution network external to said energy system; a controller adapted to control said interface so as to carry out said exchange of energy. According to the invention, the controller defines three modes based on the state of charge of the energy store which determine if, and how, energy is exchanged with the external network so as to optimize self-consumption and to perform ramp-rate reduction and peak shaving as appropriate.

摘要: An optical sensor (1) for detecting a chemical species includes a substrate (3), a mesoporous matrix (5) disposed on the substrate, and a microporous matrix (7) disposed within the mesoporous matrix. The microporous matrix (7) includes an indicator dye (9) dispersed therein, the indicator dye (9) exhibiting changes in its optical properties in response to the presence of the chemical species. This arrangement significantly increases the amount of dye present, while allowing the medium to be analyzed greater access through the porous structure, thereby increasing the performance of the sensor.

摘要: A vessel for performing electrochemical measurements includes a well for receiving a solution. The well has an upper portion, a bottom portion and a side wall portion extending between the upper portion and the bottom portion. The upper portion, the bottom portion and the side wall portion are integrally formed and the well includes an electrode located at least partially on the side wall portion. A method for manufacturing the vessel includes providing a substantially flat substrate; printing the electrode on a surface of the substrate; and thermoforming the substrate with the printed electrode in a mold such that the electrode is located at least partially on the side wall portion.

摘要: A position measurement system for determining 2D displacement or position of a mobile element with respect to a reference frame, including: a point light; an optical mask having transparent and opaque areas defining a repetitive pattern on at least one side of its surfaces; an imager, fixed to a mobile element, including integrated electronic circuits allowing detection, computing and analyzing of a shadow projected by the optical mask. The position measurement system includes an optical diffuser plate between the light source and the mask. The imager, mask and diffuser plate form an assembly so as to produce a light spot created by the scattering of the incident light beam emitted by the light source on the diffuser plate. The mask positioned between the diffuser plate and imager, produces a shadow on the imager, allowing to compute and provide 2D position of the mobile element relative to the fixed reference frame.

摘要: A device for the sensitive detection of X-rays comprises a structured scintillator screen optically coupled to a semiconductor image sensor. The scintillator screen comprises individual columnar elements covered with material showing high optical reflection. Each columnar element represents a pixel, and light flashes created by an X-ray photon in a scintillating event exit through a short surface of the columnar element for detection with a semiconductor image sensor. The semiconductor image sensor comprises a multitude of photosensor elements, and one or more of these photosensor elements receives light from a scintillator screen pixel. Each photosensor element of the image sensor comprises a semiconductor volume where photocharge is created, a lateral drift-field device for the collection of photocharge, an electronic detection circuit for the conversion of collected photocharge packets either into proportional voltage pulses, into binary signals indicating the arrival of X-ray photons or into digital signals whose values correspond to the energy of the incident X-ray photons.
