Abstract: A container, e.g., bottle, is formed by a blow molding process. The container includes a base and a sidewall extending from the base. The base and the sidewall define an interior configured to house at least one product. At least one of the sidewall and the base has a barrier layer and a desiccant layer attached to the barrier layer. The barrier layer and the desiccant layer are each blow molded together. The barrier layer is located external relative to the desiccant layer and is made of a plastic material. The desiccant layer is made of a monolithic composition comprising a mixture of a base polymer, a desiccant, and a channeling agent.

Abstract: A packaging assembly includes a container body defining an interior for housing a product and an opening leading to the interior. The assembly further includes a cap that moves with respect to the container body to move the assembly between a closed position in which the cap covers the opening, and an opened position in which the opening is exposed. A first seal (40) is defined between the container body and the cap. The first seal includes a protrusion (42) formed on one of the container body about the opening or the cap, and a groove (44) formed on the other of the container body about the opening or the cap. The protrusion is received by the groove when the assembly is in the closed position, such that contact is maintained in a sealing relationship around the opening between the groove and the protrusion.

Abstract: An adapter is configured to hold a flip-top vial. The vial includes a body and a lid. The body of the vial has a base and a sidewall extending therefrom. The body defines an interior including a product space configured for housing at least one product and having an opening leading to the interior. The lid is configured to be attached to the sidewall by a hinge. The adapter includes a receiving portion having an opening configured to receive the body, and a base portion extending from the receiving portion. The base portion has a shelf portion proximate the opening. The shelf portion is configured to engage the lid of the vial when the lid is in a predetermined opened position in order to maintain the lid in the predetermined opened position with respect to the body.

Abstract: Methods for storing and preserving cannabis or cannabis-containing substances using container assemblies are disclosed. An exemplary container assembly includes a lid and a container body. The lid is configured to be closed onto the container body over an opening of the container body. The opening provides access to an interior space having a product compartment configured to store product. The assembly also includes a humectant compartment permanently secured within the assembly. The humectant compartment includes a rigid housing containing a humectant solution. The rigid housing is configured within the assembly to prevent leaking of the humectant solution into the product compartment while facilitating bidirectional transmission of moisture between the humectant compartment and the product compartment. The humectant solution regulates relative humidity of the product compartment to maintain the relative humidity at a predetermined level.

Abstract: Disclosed are antimicrobial releasing agents, methods of preparing the antimicrobial releasing agents, and entrained polymers containing antimicrobial releasing agents. The antimicrobial releasing agent is prepared with an acidified hydrophilic material with a pH below 3.5 as a carrier, an active compound, and a trigger. The entrained polymer of the invention releases an antimicrobial agent in gas form, such as ClO2, optionally over a range of concentration from 150 ppm to 1800 ppm per gram of the entrained polymer under certain tested conditions.
