摘要: A device for welding thermoplastic tubes to a welding method, and to a welding knife. The device is provided for welding thermoplastic tubes, wherein the tubes are placed into tube holders and squeezed with the aid of tube clamps. A welding knife is moved between the first and the second tube holder and severs the tubes in the process. Cut ends and residual ends are thereby produced. The cut ends are aligned with one another by a relative movement of one tube holder with respect to the other tube holder and, by a horizontal movement of the two tube holders, are welded simultaneously to form continuous tubes.

A fastener is arranged within the nose and is coaxially slidable within the nose and movable by the punch. An ultrasonic vibration is focused through the die anvil to a zone on a material assembly arranged thereon for heating the zone. The punch is configured to drive the fastener outwardly from the nose and into the material assembly at the zone.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to methods and apparatuses for mechanically bonding substrates together. The apparatuses may include a pattern roll having three or more pattern elements protruding radially outward, wherein each pattern element includes a pattern surface. The pattern surfaces are also separated from each other by gaps having minimum widths. The pattern roll may be adjacent an anvil roll to define a nip between the pattern surfaces and the anvil roll, wherein the pattern roll is biased toward the anvil roll to define a nip pressure between pattern surfaces and the anvil roll. As substrates advance between the pattern roll and anvil roll, the substrates are compressed between the anvil roll and the pattern surfaces to form a discrete bond region between the substrates. During the bonding process, some of yielded substrate material also flows from under the pattern surfaces and into the gaps to form gap grommet regions.

The method then includes heating a composite part (100) having at least one mating contact portion (140) to a melting point of at least one material of the composite part (100), and heating the contact portion (40) of the air-guiding device (10) to a melting point of at least one material of the contact portion (40). The method further includes inserting the heated composite part (100) into the cavity (310) of the tool (300) and pressing the heated composite part (100) into a geometry of the part while simultaneously forming an integrally bonded connection between the mating contact portion (140) of the composite part (100) and the contact portion (40) of the air-guiding device (10).

摘要: There is disclosed a welding frame for welding a first pipe having a first free end to a second pipe having a second free end; the frame comprising a first clamp for reconforming the first pipe adjacent its first free end and a second clamp for reconforming the second pipe adjacent its second free end; and a mounting frame mounting the first and second clamps in substantially coaxial relation. The first clamp and second clamp are actuable to hold the first free end of the first pipe in close coaxial opposition with the second free end of the second pipe for welding. There are also disclosed clamps for a frame for welding pipes, dies for use with the clamps, and methods for welding pipes.

摘要: A method of making a wind turbine blade (10) having a metallic lightning receptor (110) is described. The method comprises configuring a wind turbine blade (10) mold assembly (100) such that a clearance region (120) is defined between a mold surface (116) of at least one mold half (112, 114) and a majority of a metallic lightning receptor component (110) when the mold assembly (100) is closed, such that contact between that mold half (112, 114) and the metallic lightning receptor component (110) is substantially avoided. In certain embodiments of the invention, one or both mold halves (112, 114) are truncated such that the metallic lightning receptor component (110) projects from the mold (100) when the mold (100) is closed.

A method of joining a metal and a plastic member by overlaying a metal and a plastic member and joining them by firing a laser beam from the plastic member side, comprising overlaying the plastic member and glass through which the laser beam will pass on the metal in that order and firing the laser beam from the plastic member side through the glass at a joining location where the metal and the plastic member are overlaid to join them by a joining speed of 0.5 m to 5.0 m/min.
