摘要: Systems and methods for communicating digital data associated with amplitudes and phases of a virtual periodic waveform having a designated period between components connected by n conductors include, in one embodiment, circuitry that converts a first amplitude and a first phase to a first corresponding voltage or current and applies the first corresponding voltage or current to a first one of the plurality of conductors, and converts the first amplitude and the first phase to (n−1) corresponding voltages or currents based on amplitudes of the periodic waveform phase shifted by about m*(360/n) relative to the first phase where m is indexed from one to (n−1) and applies each corresponding voltage or current to an associated conductor of the plurality of conductors. The systems and methods are particularly suited for reducing the number of conductors to obtain a desired I/O data rate/throughput for integrated circuit chips and wired networks.

摘要: Provided is dual mode operation by a communicating device in wireless network. The communicating device selects a radio frequency (RF) channel and a physical layer type. The communicating device processes signals received via the selected RF channel based on the selected physical layer type. The communicating device may determine whether a beacon frame has been detected base on the signals that were received via the selected RF channel and processed based on the selected physical layer type. When a frame is not detected, the communicating device may determine a signal energy level for the received signals. The communicating device may establish an association with an existing network based on detection of the beacon frame or the communicating device may transmit an originating beacon frame based on the determined signal energy level.

摘要: The present invention provides adjusting of a radio frequency (RF) receiver that includes processing that begins by enabling an initial setting of the RF receiver, wherein the initial setting is based on a bandwidth of a channel of a plurality of channels. The processing continues by receiving an RF signal containing a preamble of a frame via one of the plurality of channels. The processing continues by converting the RF signal to a baseband signal based on the initial setting. The processing continues by determining channel type of the one of the plurality of channels based on the baseband signal. The processing continues by determining whether the channel type corresponds to the bandwidth of the initial setting. The processing continues by, when the channel type does not correspond to the bandwidth of the initial setting, adjusting setting of the RF receiver based on the channel type.
