Abstract:
A buffer management method for a modem having virtual circuits is provided. The buffer management method includes steps of: detecting the virtual circuits, and counting the number of virtual circuits in use; collecting the buffers of the modem; and distributing the buffers of the modem to the virtual circuits in use. A buffer management system is also provided.
Abstract:
An adjustable wrist pad for mating a keyboard and a wrist pad base is provided, which comprises a sliding board and a fastening base. The sliding board is provided with a plurality of positioning holes with an engaging portion extended from each of the two ends of one side of the sliding board. The fastening base includes a first housing and a second housing mutually correspondent to each other. Each of the first housing and the second housing is provided with an elastic arm on the middle thereof. A projection is provided on one lower part of the elastic arm of the first housing and corresponds to one of the positioning holes of the sliding board, whereas another projection is provided on one upper part of the elastic arm of the second housing and corresponds to the same positioning hole. The present adjustable wrist pad is formed as a modularized structure, which can connect the keyboard and the wrist pad base. By moving the sliding board, the projections in one positioning hole are moved to another positioning hole so as to adjust the position of the adjustable wrist pad.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a method for fabricating a non-volatile memory structure from a single layer of polysilicon in a semiconductor substrate, wherein the semiconductor substrate with two active areas, first and second, are divided by isolation regions. In accordance with this method, a doped buried layer is formed in the first active area. Then, a first floating gate is formed on the buried layer and a second floating gate is formed on the second active area from the single layer of polysilicon. Next, two doped regions are formed at opposite sides of the second floating gate in the second active areas. Finally, a floating gate connection line is employed to connect the first and second floating gate for making sure that the two floating gates are in the same potential.
Abstract:
The present invention is related to a light-emitting keyboard, comprising: a light guide having a light entrance surface, a bottom surface and a light exit surface; a light source provided adjacent to the light entrance surface of the light guide; a first reflector disposed underneath the bottom surface of the light guide to reflect the light originated from the light source to enter into said light guide; a second reflector disposed on top of said light exit surface of the light guide; a membrane circuit board disposed on top of said second reflector, said membrane circuit board being provided with an elastic member; a supporting plate disposed on top of the membrane circuit board; a scissor assembly engaged with said supporting plate and provided thereon; and a keycap supported by said scissor assembly.
Abstract:
An xDSL (Digital Subscriber Line) modem (160) includes a setting module (168), a detection module (164), and a distinguishing module (166). The setting module pre-sets a threshold value, and adjusts the threshold value according to noise types. The detection-module captures connection parameters of the xDSL modem and the central office (CO) (120), and computes a judging value. The distinguish module distinguishes noise types according to the judging value, and determines whether the connection is maintained or disconnected. A method for stabilizing connection between an xDSL modem and a CO is also provided.
Abstract:
Methods for increasing the elimination half-life of key metabolites such as d4T by administering an aryl phosphate derivative of d4T having an electron withdrawing substituent on the aryl group and an amino acid substituent on the phosphate group are described. A preferred aryl phosphate derivative of d4T is HI-113 (d4T-5′-[p-bromophenyl methoxyalaninyl phosphate]). The administration of HI-113 results in more prolonged systemic exposure to the key metabolites, Ala-d4T-MP and d4T, than administration of an equimolar dose of either metabolite. Each metabolite has a significantly longer elimination half life when formed in vivo from the administration of HI-113 than when the metabolite is administered directly.
Abstract:
A compressor of an air conditioner of an automobile consists of a main body, a circular electromagnet fixedly disposed around a sleeve of the main body, a rotary wheel rotary about a sleeve fixedly disposed around the shaft, and a co-moving disk connected to the shaft; the co-moving disk can be attracted onto the wheel so as to rotate together with the wheel to cause the shaft of the main body to rotate when the electromagnet is powered, thus making the compressor function; the rotary wheel is formed with several vent holes near to an edge thereof for allowing airflow caused by rotation of the wheel to pass onto the main body as well as blades next to respective ones of the vent holes thereof for increasing rate of flow of air through the vent holes onto the main body.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for forming a bonding pad having a low contact resistance. The method includes steps of: a) forming a bonding pad structure on a substrate having a metal layer by forming a passivation layer over said metal layer and etching the passivation layer with a fluorine-containing gas by which a fluorine-containing layer is formed on a surface of said bonding pad structure; and b) removing the fluorine-containing layer for reducing a contact resistance of said bonding pad structure.
