    摘要: Aniosotropic Ratchet Conveyor (“ARC”)-based biomolecule processing devices and related methods are described. The ARC-based biomolecule processing devices include (i) a substrate having an ARC track defined on or within the substrate and including a biomolecule receiving area, which is designed to receive biomolecule, and a reconstituting area, which is designed to contain dry reagents and is designed to receive a transport solution such that at the reconstituting area, dry reagents are reconstituted with transport solution; and (ii) a microheater area disposed at or near the biomolecule receiving area, fitted with a microheater, which is designed to heat biomolecule that is received through the biomolecule receiving area and designed to process heated biomolecule and dry reagents reconstituted with transport solution. The ARC track includes an arrangement of a plurality of hydrophilic rungs disposed on a hydrophobic region such that between consecutive hydrophobic rungs, a portion of the hydrophobic region is exposed.

    摘要: A process for facilitating environmental conservation is described. The process includes: (i) creating a model for describing phenomena relevant to environmental conservation; (ii) training the model using machine-learning to produce a candidate model; (iii) determining whether the candidate model satisfies predetermined model statistics, and if not, repeating previous step until they are satisfied; (iv) deeming the candidate model as a deployable model if the predetermined model statistics are satisfied; (v) deploying the candidate model to permit an inference; (vi) determining whether the inference satisfies predefined inference criteria; (vii) deeming the deployable model as the final model if the predefined inference criteria are satisfied, and if not, modifying the deployable model until they are satisfied to produce the final model; (viii) implementing the final model on an AI adapter device remote to the user to draw an inference; and (ix) taking action using the AI adapter device to facilitate environmental conservation.

    摘要: Systems and methods relating thereto for detecting target analytes, using hand-held detection devices and compression mechanisms, are described. An exemplar hand-held detection device includes a cartridge inlet and a cartridge stage for securing cartridge containing the sample including the target-analyte. The device further comprises a compression assembly including a pressing surface. In an open state of the compression assembly, the pressing surface is released, displacing away from the cartridge stage, and thereby allowing a cartridge inlet to provide access to an unobstructed loading path for the cartridge to be secured on the cartridge stage. Upon receiving an external pressing force on the pressing surface, the compression assembly is designed to acquire a compressed state, in which the pressing surface displaces towards the cartridge stage and the compression assembly seals off the cartridge present inside the cartridge stage from an environment around the cartridge stage.
