    摘要: An embodiment of this invention is an adjustable wand for a carpet cleaning apparatus wherein the upper tube telescopes within a lower tube and allows lengthening of the wand. The lower nozzle is adjustable in that it allows rotation about the wand axis and allows removal of the nozzle. The preferred means for adjustment is a cam lock mechanism that tightens an adjustment clamp around the wand upper tube or nozzle neck.

    摘要: A system, method, and apparatus are disclosed for managing utility consumption. An embodiment is disclosed for reducing peak demand for a utility by staggering requests for that utility. Another embodiment is disclosed in which sensors monitor utility consumption throughout a facility. Those items of equipment not in active use, but still drawing utility resources, are shut down after a predetermined interval. Another embodiment is disclosed in which storage and conversion technologies are used to offset peak demand and the associated peak demand costs.

The system bonds the plied yarns as they move in a path through the process and permits balanced expansion of the yarn while preventing lateral movement out of the path. The bonding of the yarn strands while plied together, forms a bond characterized by a dense region of filaments adhesively joined together where one of the strands overlaps another strand, followed by a less dense region along the one strand where fewer filaments are adhesively joined, followed by another dense region.
