Abstract:
A bicycle. A front bicycle wheel and rear bicycle wheel are connected to a bicycle frame. A drive sprocket drives the rear bicycle wheel. Two hand grippable pivotally connected handles are each connected via a handle drive linkage to the drive sprocket. The pivoting of the handles in an approximately vertical plane controls the rotation of the drive sprocket and spins the rear bicycle wheel. In one preferred embodiment, the bicycle is a stationary bicycle. In another preferred embodiment the bicycle can be steered and taken on the street.

A bicycle. A front bicycle wheel and rear bicycle wheel are connected to a bicycle frame. A steerer tube controls the left and right motion of the front bicycle wheel. A drive sprocket drives the rear bicycle wheel. Two hand grippable pivotally connected handles are each connected via a handle steering linkage connection to the steerer tube. They are both also connected via a second handle drive linkage to the drive sprocket. The pivoting of the handles in an approximately horizontal plane controls the left and right motion of the front bicycle wheel. The pivoting of the handles in an approximately vertical plane controls the rotation of the drive sprocket and drives the bicycle forward.

Abstract:
Apparatus and methods for providing an electronic feedback management system. The method may use an electronic information processing platform. The method may include receiving information relating to a company employee hierarchy. The method may also include receiving information relating to the submission of a suggestion by a first employee. The method may further include receiving information relating to the status of the suggestion. The status of the suggestion may include an identification of a second employee who has viewed the suggestion. The method may also include displaying on a graphical user interface (“GUI”) a visual representation of at least part of the company employee hierarchy. The display may include the identification relating to the second employee.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for inducing a change in a human physiological characteristic. The physiological characteristic may correspond to an emotional state of a dialogue participant. The dialogue participant may be an individual participating in a conversation. The outcome of the conversation may be related to a business objective, such as providing high quality call center services. A sensor may monitor the physiologic characteristic. A processor may relate the physiologic characteristic to an emotional state. The processor may provide feedback to the individual based on the emotional state. The feedback may be formulated to change the individual's emotional state.
Abstract:
An improved exercising device whereby the person exercises by pulling a rope means extended generally over and between upper and lower pulley wheels. The exercising device is provided with an adjustable friction brake, whereby the amount of pulling force required to overcome the friction may be varied, as well as guide means, whereby the rope means is retained in contact with the pulley wheels and in the proper operational path throughout the use of the exercising device. The operations of lifting and pulling may be aided by an adjustable, pivoted hand grip member movably disposed along the rope means for selected affixture.

Abstract:
A drive system for tape transducer capstan drive control for synchronously controlling capstan drive over a wide speed range, the system being a phase locked loop which encompasses the motor, all drive components, and the capstan. The capstan drive to a tape record receives rotation from a capstan drive motor which also provides a rotational sense output. A control circuit receives the sense output as well as a selected reference frequency signal and processes the signals in accordance with selected binary control input thereby to generate the requisite drive voltage for energization of the capstan drive motor.
Abstract:
Apparatus for presenting information to a group in attention in a manner whereby the rate of information presentation is variable with respect to the group as a whole; the apparatus consists of a reproducing device for generating both an information signal and a control tone for distribution to a plurality of informationreceiving stations. The distribution system provides for the reproduction of a series of predetermined amounts of information, each amount or serially occurring portion being terminated by a control tone which ceases reproduction and enables a listener response tally. Thereafter, each listener signifies readiness to continue by means of a switch closure, and after a predetermined number of such switch closures the reproducing device is restarted to generate the next segment of its information.
