A document holder comprising two supporting members. The newspaper is inserted between the two supporting members such that the horizontal crease of the document is aligned or overlaps with the resilient member. The resilient member allows the document to be folded up into a smaller size to facilitate reading, and exerts a bias force to open the document after a page has been read to facilitate page turning. The supporting members may include one or more mortise and tenon joints which allow the supporting members to be disengaged and folded for compact storage.
