    摘要: A method of exchanging keyboard/video/mouse data between a client work station and a digital video appliance connected through a general purpose network is disclosed. A protocol for exchanging this data includes the establishment of a secure sockets layer (SSL) connection for the transmission of all data other than the video data. The present protocol also establishes a non-secure video session connection across the same general purpose network for transmitting the digitized video from the digital video appliance to the client work station. The protocol also provides for the compression of the digitized video to reduce the band width required to transit the video signals.

    摘要: In a KVM system, a system provides for USB devices to be accessed by target computers. A KVM switch connects a client with a target server via a network, the client computer having at least one device attached thereto. A second mechanism connects to a USB port of the target and communicates with the target using a USB protocol. A client mechanism communicates with the second mechanism via the network. A virtual media mechanism enables the target server to access the USB device attached to the client.

    摘要: Methods are provided for determining a solids to liquids ratio in a flowing petroleum stream having an immiscible solids, oil and water flow. Microwave energy in the 10-12 Gigahertz bond is directed through the petroleum stream and attenuated transmitted and reflected microwave energy are detected. The detected microwave energy is compared to an empirically derived map of attenuated amplitude vs. phase for a set of reference petroleum streams having known solid, oil and water contents to derive a solids to liquids ratio for the unknown stream.

    摘要: A scaffold clamp 1 is provided for retaining two scaffold pipes 3 and 5 in close proximity. The scaffold clamp 1 comprises a first yoke part 7 for engaging with external surface of one of the scaffold pipes 3/5. A second yoke part 9 is provided for engaging with external surfaces of the other of the scaffold pipes 3/5. A stringer part 11 interconnects the first yoke part 7 and the second yoke part 9 at one side. A clamping mechanism 17 is provided for interconnecting the first yoke part 7 and the second yoke part 9 at the other side. The scaffold clamp is such that the two scaffold pipes 3/5 will be embraced within a space 23 defined by the first yoke part 7 and the second yoke part 9, and the stringer part 11 and the clamping mechanism 17, so there can be relative drawing of the first yoke part 7 towards the second yoke part 9 to retain the two scaffold pipes 3/5 in adjacent proximity.
