    摘要: The invention describes a new method for treating sludge, which can result in the production of high nitrogen organically-augmented inorganic fertilizer that incorporates municipal sludges or biosolids or organic sludges that can compete with traditional fertilizers such as ammonium phosphate, ammonium sulfate and urea on the commodity fertilizer marketplace. The method takes advantage of the thixotropic property of dewatered biosolids or organic sludge to create a pumpable paste-like material from the biosolids or organic sludge that is then treated with an oxidizer to reduce odorant effects and an acid. This mix is then interacted with concentrated sulfuric and or phosphoric acids and an ammonia source or alternatively a hot or molten melt or salt of ammonium sulfate/phosphate to form a fertilizer mix. The present invention controls the heat, atmospheric pressure and retention time of the fertilizer mix in the reaction vessel. When a fertilizer melt is formed ammoniation is subsequently completed by the specific use of vaporized ammonia. The invention can also be an add-on to commercial production of ammonium salts. The fertilizer produced by the present invention contains more than 8 wt. % nitrogen and preferably 15 wt. % nitrogen. The invention is oriented to be tailored to the biosolids production for individual municipal waste treatment plants in order to keep the fertilizer manufacturing plants of the present invention small with a minimization of logistics and liability.

    摘要: Disclosed herein is a method for zero-discharge treatment of high-concentration organic wastewater by mixing sludge with high-concentration organic wastewater. The sludge is biodried sludge prepared by a method including preparing a sludge mixture consisting of belt-pressed sludge and dried sludge; and collecting the sludge mixture when its temperature finally becomes stable by returning to room temperature. The high-concentration organic wastewater used contained small particles of pulverized food waste having a diameter of 1 mm or less. The treatment was performed by decomposing the organic materials using microorganisms contained in the sludge via metabolism, followed by water evaporation caused by the metabolic heat generated by the decomposition of the organic materials, in which the microbial metabolism was performed under an aerobic condition.

    摘要: The method for preserving the initial fermentable potential of an organic substrate over time, said potential being represented by the methanogenic potential of the biomass, or BMP, of the organic substrate, comprises at least the following steps: a) determining the moisture content (HM) of the organic substrate (2) collected (1), b) comparing (8) the determined moisture content (HM) to a predefined moisture level (HD) of between 0% and 40%, c) storing, in conditions limiting any activity of the microorganisms present in the substrate, and limiting any variation in the moisture level (HM), only the organic substrate (2) of which the moisture content (HM) determined in step a) corresponds to the predefined moisture content (HD), d) if necessary, during steps a) and c), taking measurements of the methanogenic potential of the biomass, e) comparing, if necessary, the measurements of the methanogenic potential of the biomass obtained during step c) to that of step a) and f) adapting the storage conditions to keep the moisture content (HM) of the organic substrate (2) collected (1) at a value that is equal, within 5%, to that of the predefined moisture content (HD).     摘要: The present invention discloses a method of retreating a viscous semi-solid dewatered sludge having a water content of 70-85%, which is characterized by comprising the steps of: (1) adding a desiccant into said dewatered sludge, and stirring the resulting mixture to produce a mixed sludge having a water content of 50-60%; and (2) drying the mixed sludge to produce a dried granular sludge, which has a water content of 45% or less. The method of retreating the sludge of the present invention can decrease the treatment energy consumption, have a simple dry waste gas treatment, greatly reduce the cost for treating the sludge, accomplish the clean production and the sludge's innocuity, stabilization, minimization, and recycle.

    摘要: In order to render sewage sludge suitable for beneficial purposes, it must be disinfected and stabilized. EDC deactivation is rapidly becoming a desirable result of any sludge or biosolids treatment process. Disclosed herein is a process of treating sewage sludge so as to stabilize the sludge that involves the presence of an iron-containing compound during dewatering of the sludge. Process embodiments described also achieve biosolid samples that have reduced EDC activity, Other embodiments disclosed involve use of a combination of iron salts ferrate and ferric chloride that are added to wastewater sludge in the dewatering step before heat drying. The biosolids resulting from sludge treated with aniron-containing compound are able to resist putrefaction for more than two to three weeks.
