Abstract:
A coating composition comprising a first component having a first polyester polyol having a first functionality, and a second polyester polyol having a second functionality, wherein the second functionality is greater than the first functionality, and a second component comprising an isocyanate, wherein the coating has an NCO:OH ratio of 1:1 or greater is disclosed. A coated flexible substrate comprising a flexible substrate, and a coating deposited on at least a portion of the substrate, wherein the coating comprises a first component having a first polyester polyol having a first functionality and a second polyester polyol having a second functionality, wherein the second functionality is greater than the first functionality and a second component comprising an isocyanate is also within the scope of the present invention.
Abstract:
Compositions comprising the reaction product of a polymer comprising a polyol, a polyisocyanate and/or a polyamine and a compound comprising a chlorendate group are disclosed. Also disclosed are methods of improving adhesion between a coating composition and a substrate by applying the adhesion promoting compositions of the present invention to the substrate.
Abstract:
Disclosed are composite transparencies and methods for their production. The colored composite transparencies include a surface at least partially coated with a transparent tinted coating deposited from a coating composition comprising polymer-enclosed color-imparting particles.
Abstract:
Methods for improving adhesion between a coating and a substrate using compositions comprising chlorinated polyolefin and a compound comprising ethylene vinyl acetate are disclosed.
Abstract:
Compressible substrates coated with a coating comprising an aqueous polyurethane resin having a hydroxyl number of less than 10 and a colorant are disclosed. Footwear and footwear components comprising compressible substrates coated with an aqueous polyurethane resin having a hydroxyl number of less than 10 and a colorant are also disclosed.
Abstract:
Color harmonization is provided for articles of manufacture comprising different substrate materials. A coating composition is selected that can be applied to the different substrate materials while maintaining substantially uniform visual characteristics of the article. The substrates may include flexible materials such as natural leather, synthetic leather, vinyl, foam, textiles and the like. Examples of articles of manufacture include footwear, automotive upholstery and automotive interiors.
