摘要: Elements of a graphical user interface, such as a virtual keypad, can have display characteristics adjusted based upon aspects such as a relative hand or finger position of a user. In one example, the transparency of a keypad used to enter text on a portable computing device can be adjusted based on the distance of a user's hand, such that the user can still view content displayed through the interface. A user can also select elements, such as text fields for text entry, by adjusting a relative position of the user's hand and performing a selection gesture or other such action. Various types of functionality can be activated in response to a selection gesture, such as to display a keypad of an appropriate transparency.

摘要: The disclosure discloses a sensing aiding method for cognitive radio. The method includes the following steps. a high level node transmits configuration information to a base station; the base station combines with a subordinate node of the base station to perform frequency spectrum sensing measurement, in which the subordinate node has sensing capability, and feeds back a result of the sensing measurement to the high level node; and the high level node formulates a corresponding WS allocation policy according to the received result of the sensing measurement. The disclosure also discloses a system. By the method and the system of the disclosure, the high level node transmits the configuration information to the base station; the base station performs the spectrum sensing measurement in combination with the subordinate node having the sensing capability of the base station in a designated frequency band and feeds the result of the sensing measurement back to the high level node; and the high level node formulates the corresponding WS allocation policy according to the result of the sensing measurement. Available white band resources are acquired; the probability of base station configuration failure is reduced, and the overhead caused by configuration failures is reduced.

摘要: A method for magnetic resonance imaging, in which a magnetic resonance imaging device employs a multi-echo imaging sequence, includes the steps of: applying, to one of the multiple echoes, a first number of steps of phase encoding, applying a readout gradient, and collecting the data of this echo to reconstruct an anatomical image; and applying, to another one of the multiple echoes, a second number of steps of phase encoding, applying a readout gradient, and collecting the data of this echo to construct a temperature image. The method is capable of obtaining at the same time both a temperature image with high time resolution and an anatomical image with high spatial resolution.

摘要: As mobile handsets are typically much slower than desktops for processing intensive applications, and as XSL-based XML document transformations (or XSLT) are processing intensive, such transformations are costly on mobile devices both because of execution time and energy consumption. While other processing intensive applications, such as voice communication and graphics rendering, have exploited options in the design of mobile processor architecture, similar methodologies have not been applied to XSLT processing. A method for parallelizing XSLT processing on devices with multiple processors is therefore devised. The method divides XSLT processing into separately schedulable subtasks, synchronizes these subtasks, and schedules such subtasks on multiple processors for improved time and energy efficiency.

摘要: An antenna includes a ground plate, a conductive branch having a conductor feed extended for electrically coupling to the ground plate, and a cable electrically coupled to the conductor feed for signal transmitting and receiving purpose. The conductive branch is inclined relative to the conductor feed and the ground plate, for increasing signal transmitting and receiving directions and frequency range for the antenna, and for avoiding dead angles for the antenna. One or more conductor extensions may be electrically coupled between the conductor feed and the ground plate, for increase a signal transmitting and receiving or communicating path between the conductive branch and the ground plate.
