Abstract: There is disclosed a fluid adapter for a breathable gas delivery device, such as a facemask, for delivering breathable gas to a user. The fluid adapter comprises an adapter body defining an adapter chamber; a pressurized gas inlet port in fluid communication with the adapter chamber and arranged to be fluidically coupled to a source of pressurized breathable gas and an ambient air inlet port arranged to provide fluid communication between the adapter chamber and ambient air outside of the fluid adapter. The adapter also comprises an adapter outlet port in fluid communication with the adapter chamber and arranged to be fluidically coupled to a delivery device gas inlet port of the breathable gas delivery device; and an adapter connector arranged to connect the fluid adapter to the breathable gas delivery device such that the adapter outlet port is fluidically coupled to the delivery device gas inlet port.

Abstract: There is disclosed a telemetry monitoring system including a central monitoring unit configured to display data regarding one or more portable devices, each associated with the breathing apparatus of a user. The system further includes removable data storage connected to the central monitoring unit and configured to store system status data of the central monitoring unit as recovery data, the system status data defining an operational status of the central monitoring unit. In the event of a failure of the telemetry monitoring system, the telemetry monitoring system can be recovered by restoring the recovery data to the central monitoring unit or a replacement central monitoring unit from the removable data storage.

Abstract: There is provided an apparatus for monitoring a wearer of a breathing apparatus, comprising a pressure detecting device and a mobile monitoring unit. The pressure detecting device comprises a pressure transducer arranged to detect a pressure of a gas supply of the breathing apparatus; and a wireless transmitter arranged to wirelessly transmit a preset number of ON signals when it is determined that the pressure of the gas supply has exceeded a predetermined on threshold.
