    摘要： The disks of this coupling converge towards the outside in a way to minimize the bending stresses in general, and especially when the coupling axes intersect at an angle, kept quite small. The bending stresses are kept approximately equal at the outside end and at the inside end of the working portion of the disks. This is attained with the disk shape. Opposite disk profiles of axial sections have general directions or mean tangents that intersect in the average at a radius double their mean radius, and more generally at a radius from the disk axis between (2 + 1/8) and (2 - 1/8) said mean radius.

    摘要： The present invention relates to Flexing-Disk Couplings that permit moderate angular and axial displacements between two rotating parts connected thereby. They contain a plurality of adjacent disks operating in parallel. Each disk transmits only a portion of the total torque. To keep the several disks acting in a similar manner, their outer ends at least are connected with one of said parts through yielding rubber-like layers, permitting said disks to slightly move out or in relatively to each other. This avoids high stresses when said parts tilt with respect to each other. The use of several disks in parallel permits to increase the load capacity or reduce the coupling diameter and weight.

    摘要： Two coaxial rotors are connected with a counter-shaft through two pairs of varying-motion gears of opposite phase. They are designed to provide perfect mass-balance. Each gear rigid with a rotor contains two diametricaly opposite maximum radii, and perpendicular thereto two minimum radii. Its pitch lines that roll on the mate without slippage reach further out from the pitch circle of an imaginary uniform-motion gear of a pair having the same axes and tooth ratio than they recede inwardly of said circle; and they are more curved at the maximum radii than an ellipse of the same maximum and minimum radii. These features secure perfect mass balance.Here now the gear teeth are uniformly spaced along the pitch lines and have a constant inclination thereto.The invention also provides a simplified procedure for mass production, that contains fewer steps and thereby provides higher accuracy than hitherto possible with gear teeth uniformly spaced along pitch lines of varying radii.
