    摘要: An improved positive displacement pump provides improved wear characteristics. Specifically, rotor pads are provided on faces relative to an internal portion of the rotor housing as it relates to an end wall and a rear side of a cover plate. The rotor pads preferably have at least one of anti-galling and/or anti-friction or anti-wear characteristics thereby providing improvements over the prior art. A central member is preferably provided so that pad replacement may be relatively easily performed in the field in clean in place operations.

    摘要: A rotary engine includes a casing having a first circular boring and a second circular boring smaller than the first circular boring. The first circular boring interconnects with the second circular boring. A piston rotor can move in a rotating manner within the first circular boring in the casing. A power head, ported to pass exhaust gases through a hollow center shaft, can move in a rotating manner within the second circular boring in the casing. The piston rotor and the power head can be coupled via a gear system to properly rotate during operation, with the piston rotor rotating counterclockwise and the power head rotating clockwise, or vice versa.

    摘要: The innovation concerns an orbiting planetary gearing system and an internal-combustion engine employing the same. In aspects, the engine can comprise an engine housing having a first wall delimiting a first combustion chamber, a first primary member having a first piston and a second primary member having a second piston. The pistons can also delimit the first combustion chamber. The first wall defines at least a section of a toroid, and the pistons are guided along a curved path defined by the section of the toroid. The primary members can be coupled to an intermediate member. In various embodiments, the intermediate member can couple motion of the primary members to a crankshaft via an orbiting planetary gearing system.

    摘要: A supercharger includes a rotor housing defining a pair of cylindrical chambers. A driving shaft bearing is to support a driving rotor shaft for rotation in the rotor housing. A driven shaft bearing is to support a driven rotor shaft for rotation in the rotor housing. An oil sump housing is to enclose a timing gear end of the rotor housing. A shaft seal is disposed between the rotor housing and each respective rotor shaft. The oil sump housing, the rotor housing and driving and driven shaft seals define a closed container for oil to lubricate the driving shaft bearing, the driven shaft bearing, a driving timing gear and a driven timing gear. The oil pools in the closed container and a top surface of the oil is spaced below the timing gears when the driving rotor shaft is in a vertical orientation.
