Abstract:
A multiple hose assembly including a plurality of hose portions which are disposed in a first direction in a substantially parallel and a substantially planar arrangement. In addition, the multiple hose assembly further includes a plurality of support members for securing the hose portions in the substantially parallel and the substantially planar arrangement. The support members used for securing the hose portions are disposed in a second direction which is different from the first direction.
Abstract:
A recirculating paint supply system having a supply conduit, a return conduit and a push to connect fluid coupling assembly. The supply conduit supplies a liquid coating composition received from a supply to a spray nozzle. The return conduit returns the excess liquid coating composition supplied to the spray nozzle to the supply. The push to connect fluid coupling assembly receives an end portion of at least one of the supply conduit and the return conduit. The push to connect fluid coupling assembly includes a connector housing defining a bore having a first annular groove to retain an annular lock ring positioned within the groove. The lock ring is operable to grip and engage the outer periphery of the conduit to securably retain the conduit in the connector housing.
Abstract:
A recirculating paint supply system supplies single or multiple paint coatings to paint spray stations arranged in parallel or series relation, each station including manually operated flexible monoline and coaxial conduits to supply paint to an improved spray gun. In one aspect of the invention, the improved spray gun is comprised of a polymeric material to reduce the overall weight of the spray gun thereby reducing operating fatigue and ailments caused by the use of conventional spray guns. In another aspect, the improved spray gun includes larger air passages which provides for a greater volume of air to pass through the spray gun, thereby providing increased atomization of the liquid coating composition. Thus, the reduced weight, as well as the increased atomization, increases the overall finish quality of the object being painted.
Abstract:
A flow control device for use in recirculating liquid coating composition systems adapted to be connected directly to the spray apparatus, such as an air atomizing spray gun or the like. The flow control device assures a continuous supply of a uniform liquid coating mixture to the spray nozzle at an adjustable desired pressure.

A recirculating paint supply system supplies single or multiple paint coatings to paint spray stations arranged in parallel or series relation, each station including manually operated flexible monoline and coaxial conduits to supply paint to a spray gun. In one aspect of the invention, the fluid connectors inhibit paint build up which might otherwise contaminate the paint line and include a unique quick disconnect ball valve to inhibit paint splash back, a ball valve having a unique seal for the ball, a compression seal arrangement in a flow enabling/disabling H-connector, a Y-shaped connector to mix two paint coatings, and a Y-shaped connector to interconnect the supply and recirculating lines to rows of spray stations. In another aspect, unexpected benefits are found from the selective use of glass-filled nylon and stainless steel components in the fluid connectors.
Abstract:
A booth for spraying a coating of material on an article. The booth includes a device for spraying material proximate to the article to be coated thereby generating an overspray. The booth also includes a wall for containing the overspray within the booth. Finally, the booth includes a plurality of wall covering units, each of which has a base layer and a plurality of removable sheets.
Abstract:
A flexible coaxial conduit in a recirculating paint supply system disposed between a flow control restrictor connected to a paint spray nozzle and a pressurized paint supply line and return line for supplying paint to the nozzle in a quantity in excess of that required to insure continued recirculation and uniformity in the composition and quality of the liquid coating composition. The coaxial conduit is substantially transparent and in the preferred embodiments, the outer tube is of a composite construction to provide optimum flexibility while retaining resistivity to the attack from the liquid paint composition and from solvents.

In one aspect of the invention, the fluid connectors inhibit paint build up which might otherwise contaminate the paint line and include unique quick disconnect ball valves each having a closure member to inhibit paint splash back upon disconnection, a ball valve having a unique seal for the ball, a compression seal arrangement in a flow enabling/disabling H-connector, a H-connector having a connecting mechanism to allow simultaneous opening and closing of ball valves, a Y-shaped connector to mix two paint coatings, and a Y-shaped connector to interconnect the supply and recirculating lines to rows of spray stations.
