    摘要: Systems and methods are disclosed for improving throughput in a wireless system utilizing Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (HARQ) retransmission. In general, prior to a HARQ-enabled transmission, one or more channel conditions for a corresponding transmit channel are obtained. Based on the one or more channel conditions, a set of target block error rates for the HARQ-enabled transmission are determined. In one embodiment, the set of target block error rates maximize throughput for the transmit channel utilizing HARQ retransmission. In another embodiment, the set of target block error rates optimize throughput and one or more additional parameters for the transmit channel utilizing HARQ retransmission.

    摘要: Embodiments of a method for measurement of electromagnetic field strength at a point of interest in a coverage area of a 2-dimensional (2D) active antenna system (AAS). The 2D AAS transmits with a load factor of 100 percent. The 2D AAS sweeps a predefined range of azimuth and elevation angles, and azimuth and elevation directions which yield highest EMF at the point of interest are determined. First beamforming weights are determined based on the azimuth and elevation directions and the 2D AAS caused to apply the first beamforming weights. The 2D AAS sweeps a co-phasing angle from 0 to 360 degrees, and a co-phasing angle which yields highest EMF is determined. Second beamforming weights are determined based on azimuth and elevation directions and the co-phasing angle, and the 2D AAS caused to apply the second beamforming weights. The EMF strength at the point of interest is measured.

    摘要: A wireless communication method and system are provided in which an uplink data stream that has uplink data associated with a user device is received. Channel performance data based at least in part on a portion of the uplink data stream is determined. A determination is made whether the channel performance data meets a predetermined performance level. The portion of the uplink data stream is discarded when the channel performance data does not meet the predetermined performance level. The portion of the uplink data stream is tagged for additional processing when the channel performance data meets the predetermined performance level.
