摘要: A workpiece enlarging method is provided, by which an enlarged portion can stably be formed on a portion of a workpiece such as a shaft member, and a drive force required to form the enlarged portion can be reduced. The workpiece enlarging method forms the enlarged portion on the workpiece (W) by applying, with respect to the workpiece (W), alternating shear energy in a transverse direction thereof so as to suppress deformation of the workpiece (W) within an elastic limit while applying compression energy that produces compressive stress equal to or greater than an initial yield strength to increase internal energy of the workpiece (W), thereby decomposing a portion of the increased internal energy by the alternating shear energy and deforming and enlarging the enlargement intended area of the workpiece (W) with the assistance of the decomposed energy obtained by the decomposition.

摘要: The present invention aims to provide a chip-type solid electrolytic capacitor of large capacitance and low ESR. An element section of the capacitor is composed of an anode oxide film layer which functions as a dielectric, a solid electrolyte layer including conductive polymer and a cathode conductive body, which are stacked on a metallic electrode. A plurality of flat capacitor elements with the element section and an anode pulling-out section are stacked, and a laminated unit is produced where the cathode conductive layer and the anode pulling-out section of the flat capacitor elements are connected to a single metallic terminal member each. The solid electrolytic capacitor of the present invention has at least two laminated units placed parallel to each other, and connected to a transversely disposed comb terminal. The construction presented by the present invention achieves a solid electrolytic capacitor of a large capacitance and a low ESR without expanding its mounting surface area.

摘要: A plasma ashing method to prevent a generation of a resist-residue buildup is disclosed that includes a step for installation of a substrate on which a photoresist material is formed in a chamber, a step for drawing a vacuum in the chamber and keeping the chamber at a predetermined pressure, a step for filling oxygen gas in the camber and keeping the chamber at approximately 1 Torr, and a step for applying a high-frequency electric power of 0.10 [W/cm.sup.2 ] or less to the oxygen gas. A more effective range of the high-frequency electric power per area of the internal wall of the chamber is from 0.008 to 0.10 [W/cm.sup.2 ]. The most effective value of the high-frequency electric power is 0.055 [W/cm.sup.2 ].
