摘要: Techniques for converting plastic bags to a recyclable form are described. In some implementations, a device includes an outer container having an outer lid, an inner container situated within the outer container having an opening, and one or more heating elements. The inner container has an inner lid configured to cover the inner container's opening, and the outer lid of the outer container is configured to close over the inner lid. In response to a user input to the device, a conversion cycle is initiated in which electric power is supplied to one or more heating elements so that the one or more heating elements raise the inner container's internal temperature to a target temperature and maintain the inner container's internal temperature at a minimum of the target temperature for a predetermined conversion time sufficient to convert one or more plastic bags within the inner container to a recyclable plastic block.

摘要: A search and a browse on a single user query is performed. A refined query is selected from the results of the first user query. Thereafter, a list of concepts from a first directory associated with the refined query is obtained. The concepts are defined in a hierarchical relationship with concepts having broader scope being higher in the hierarchy and concepts having a narrower scope being lower in the hierarchy. Additionally, a list of web sites associated with the search concept is obtained from a second directory.

摘要: An electroacoustic channel soundfield is altered. An audio signal is applied by an electromechanical transducer to an acoustic space, causing air pressure changes therein. Another audio signal is obtained by a second electromechanical transducer, responsive to air pressure changes in the acoustic space. A transfer function estimate of the electroacoustic channel is established, responsive to the second audio signal and part of the first audio signal. The transfer function estimate is derived to be adaptive to temporal variations in the electroacoustic channel transfer function. Filters are obtained with transfer functions based on the transfer function estimate. Part of the first audio signal is filtered therewith.

摘要: An computer program product, a system, and method are disclosed for providing a training service. Delivery of the training service comprises selecting an input file comprising a plurality of presentation options, a plurality of mode definitions and a transform module. The transform module comprises transform logic configured to act upon content of an input file to present the input file to a user differently according to characteristics of a selected mode definition. Delivery of the training service further comprises receiving an input file selection and a mode definition selection. In addition, the transform module dynamically generates an output format for presentation of the content of the input file. The output format is generated by the transform logic as determined by the characteristics of the selected mode definition.

摘要: A system of hyperlink authoring allows authors to establish links in multimedia documents interactively and provides generalization and specialization mechanisms for transforming the content and context of the instances of links indicated by the authors into more general link rules that when executed can automatically generate a large number of syntactically similar links. A major component of the system, the link editor, comprises specifications for the source, the intermediate destination, if required, and the final destination. Each specification comprises content pattern generalization, pattern variable instantiation, attribute modification, context specialization and attribute variable instantiation. The output of the link editor is link specifications which are forwarded to an automatic hyperlinker which outputs linked documents.
