摘要： A computerized treadmill is provided. The treadmill deck may be fully suspended by a plurality of air suspension elements, such as bellows. The bellows may be pressurized by a computer-controlled compressor feeding a central air reservoir to which each bellows is connected via air hose. The bellows may be dampened to control expansion. A double hinge connecting the deck with frame may control lateral movement and reduce lateral load on the bellows. Incline and decline mechanisms facilitate a variety of deck angles. Control of the treadmill may be by computer, whether integrated or modular, whether traditional, laptop, tablet or smart phone. Control of the treadmill and conveyance of information associated with treadmill operation may be integrated with computer or smart phone applications, whether dedicated or third party.

摘要： A fluid cooling device for a motor vehicle includes a fluid inlet tank and a fluid outlet tank. A plurality of heat transfer tubes provide constant fluid communication between the inlet tank and the outlet tank. A bypass arrangement selectively provides additional fluid communication between the fluid inlet tank and the fluid outlet tank. A bi-metallic valve is moveable from a first position to a second position in response to an increase in temperature of the fluid such that the valve member closes the at least one bypass tube to preclude additional fluid communication between the fluid inlet tank and the fluid outlet tank when the valve member is in the second position and the valve member opens the bypass tube to provide additional fluid communication between the inlet tank and the outlet tank in the first position.

摘要： An oil cooler for a motor vehicle includes a fluid inlet tank and a fluid outlet tank. A plurality of heat transfer tubes provides constant fluid communication between the inlet tank and the outlet tank. A bypass arrangement provides additional fluid communication between the fluid inlet tank and the fluid outlet tank under a first operating condition and the bypass arrangement precludes additional fluid communication between the inlet tank and the outlet tank under a second operating condition. The bypass arrangement may include a bypass tube and an element for selectively blocking the bypass tube. The element for selectively blocking the bypass tube may be automatically response to a change in oil temperature or a change in oil pressure.

摘要： A thermostat includes a housing defining a fluid path therethrough. The thermostat further includes a valve plate for selectively sealing an opening in the fluid path for opening and closing the fluid path. The valve plate is mounted within the fluid path for rotation about a pivot axis extending generally perpendicular to the flow of fluid through the housing. The valve plate is configured and disposed within the fluid path such that fluid pressure against a first portion of the valve plate creates a first torque and fluid pressure against a second portion of the valve plate creates a second torque. The first and second torques substantially cancel each other out such that a net torque generated by the fluid pressure on the valve plate is neglible.

摘要： A viscous fluid clutch includes a rotor attached to an output from an engine, a stator attached to a fan assembly and a coil assembly having at least a portion attached to the stator. A first gap is defined between the rotor and the stator and a second gap is defined between the rotor and the coil assembly. The first and second gaps are filled with a magneto rheological (MR) fluid. The coil assembly creates a magnetic field in the first and second gaps to vary the viscosity of the MR fluid to produce a variable speed viscous fluid clutch. The coil assembly includes coil windings which are supplied with power through a slip ring assembly. Both the coil windings and the wiring between the slip ring assembly and the coil windings are isolated from the magneto rheological fluid.

Also disclosed is a floating drive assembly (52, 54, 56) including an inner drive member (64), an outer drive member (68, 70), and a flexible transmission (74, 75) interconnecting the members for rotating the drive members together while allowing relative radial movement between the drive members as the drive members rotate the fan (20).
