    摘要: A contactless inductive data transmission system provides bidirectional signal transfer between a sending-and-receiving station and one or more batteryless transponders. A high-frequency signal from the sending-and-receiving station is pulse width modulated for data transmission to a transponder and provides a system clock, which is extracted in both the sending-and-receiving station and in the transponder for synchronization, and provides the electrical power for operation of the transponder. The pulse width modulated signal is demodulated in the transponder for triggering a response wherein a modulating signal is applied by load modulation to the pulse width modulated high-frequency signal to form an information-carrying load modulated high-frequency signal, which is demodulated in the sending-and-receiving station.

    摘要: Two parallel regulator stages, each comprising a transistor (T1, T2, respectively), are provided. The transistor (T2) forms part of the indirect parallel regulator stage and acts directly on the rectifier. It is capable of taking up comparatively large currents and hence is comparatively slow. The transistor (T1) forms part of the direct regulator stage and operates in parallel with the sustaining capacitor. Because of the coarse control provided by the transistor (T2), it need take up small currents only and can hence have a very fast control behavior. Because of the coarse control by the transistor (T2), the alternating voltage on the antenna terminals (LA and LB) quickly breaks down when the RF signal is interrupted; consequently, the transmission rate can be increased in the case of pause interval modulation. Static discharges are also dissipated by the transistor (T2), so that no additional protective circuitry is required for this purpose.

    摘要: A chip card is operable in a contactless and contact-coupled mode. For operation in the contactless mode, the chip card has an antenna coil and rectifier. In the contactless mode, the chip card receives an AC signal. The rectifier provides a rectified received AC signal. The rectified signal is used for powering internal circuitry of the chip card. The chip card further has a recognition circuit that recognizes whether an AC signal is actually received by the antenna coil. If the AC signal is recognized, the recognition circuit switches the chip card to the contactless mode. If no AC signal is recognized, the recognition circuit switches the chip card to the contact-coupled mode.

    摘要: A chip card includes a semiconductor chip that contains at least one memory. In order to supply energy to the chip and to provide for bi-directional data transmission from and to the chip, both contacts and a device for contactless data transmission are provided. A triggerable switch device which is provided on the chip connects the memory either to the contacts or to the device for contactless data transmission as a function of a state of an output signal of a logic circuit connected to at least a voltage supply contact. The switch device assumes a position of repose when it is not triggered and in that position it connects the memory to the device for contactless data transmission, while only upon application of a voltage to the supply voltage contact, triggered by the logic circuit, does it connect the contacts to the memory.
