Abstract:
A gripper device for displacing at least one single unit of consumer packages comprising gripper blades movable in rotating and translating manner with control members accommodated in housing, gripper members engage units on two opposite longitudinal sides after closure for picking up, transfer and placement in outer packages. Clamping members for keeping the cover closed during pickup, transfer and discharge of closed units are placed between units to keep units in relative positions during pickup, transfer and placement, cooperating with gripper and clamping members. Holder members comprise intermediate plates suspended vertically through slots in housing bottom plate and are clamped between the units. Intermediate plates are pressed vertically by a spring member, wherein a suspended main portion and the intermediate plates merge into an engaging edge having an angle under 40.degrees between main portion and engaging edge, the engaging edge, ends at the bottom portion of such a unit.

Abstract:
This invention relates to an apparatus for picking up products or group of products with a gripper having gripper blades, more particularly for executing cycles of engaging, picking up and displacing packaging units or groups of packaging units, and subsequently delivering these into packaging boxes, the gripper comprising: a frame, having arranged thereon, two holders on two opposite sides of the frame, each having a gripper blade arranged therein, the two gripper blades, each in the shape of an arc, guide wheels for guiding the gripper blades during the rotation about their respective axes which are situated between the gripper blades, a first drive for moving each of the holders away from or towards each other, a second drive for rotatingly turning outwards or drawing inwards each of the arcuate gripper blades, and a third drive for displacing the frame in picking up, displacing and delivering the products, wherein for each gripper blade at least a part of one guide wheel is designed as a pinion with teeth that engage in a row of holes designed as a rack and arranged along the arc circumferential direction of such a gripper blade. In an advantageous exemplary embodiment, the movements of the holders are coupled with a toothed belt via toothed-belt wheels. This construction enables a product or group of products to be picked up, displaced and delivered in a highly controlled manner.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an apparatus, more particularly a gripper head, for picking up, transporting, and placing packaging units, in particular trays, for instance trays with eggs, comprising: a gripper frame, connected with an arm or beam for therewith displacing, for instance vertically moving and/or rotating, the gripper frame, two gripper blades which are rotatably connected with the gripper frame and which engage the packaging units on two opposite sides, two supporting strips each connected along hinges extending substantially in horizontal direction with each respective one of the two supporting strips and which are furthermore connected with the gripper frame, a driver which upon substantially horizontal pick-up and placement of the packaging units performs a vertical movement for engaging such packaging units in an engagement position and releasing such packaging units in a release position, and control means connected with the gripper frame, with the supporting strips, and with the driver, wherein the control means comprise a single lift plate which is arranged under the gripper frame and between the gripper blades and which adjacent the ends of said hinges is connected with the supporting strips, wherein upon a vertical upward movement of the lift plate the supporting strips move to an engagement position, in which such packaging units are engaged, clamped between the gripper blades and supported on supporting ends extending towards ends of the supporting strips, and wherein upon a downward movement of the lift plate the supporting strips move to a release position and thereby substantially move away from each other as well as rotate outwardly, so that such packaging units are released. More particularly, pin-slot connections are used. With great advantage, a simple design and a reliable operation is obtained.
Abstract:
An egg spreading track comprising a carrying surface forming part of one or more endless belts, baffles dividing at least a part of the width of said carrying surface into a plurality of discharge tracks extending along at least a part of the length of said carrying surface, as well as at least one cross member arranged directly above said carrying surface. At least two side baffles converging in the direction of movement of said carrying surface are provided above said carrying surface, upstream of said cross member; said converging side baffles adjacent said cross member pass into side baffles diverging mutually in the direction of movement of said carrying surface.
Abstract:
An apparatus for picking up products or groups of products, including a gripper having a frame, two holders that are movably connected on two opposite sides of the frame, and two gripper blades that are each movably connected with an associated one of the holders. Each gripper blade has the shape of an arc with an associated axis, the two axes of the two gripper blades are situated between the two gripper blades. Guide wheels, in the form of a pinion with teeth, engage with at least one row of holes arranged on the arc of the gripper blade to thereby guide the associated blade during rotation about its axis. A first drive is provided for moving each of the holders away from and towards each other. Two second drives are connected with a respective one of the two gripper blades to rotatingly turn outwards or draw inwards the associated arcuate gripper blade. A third drive is provided for displacing the gripper frame.
Abstract:
An apparatus comprising a gripper frame, connected with an arm or beam for displacing the gripper frame, two gripper blades which are rotatably connected with the gripper frame, two supporting strips each connected along hinges extending substantially in horizontal direction with each respective one of the two supporting strips, a driver which performs a vertical movement for engaging such packaging units in an engagement position and releasing such packaging units in a release position, and a controller connected with the gripper frame, the supporting strips, and the driver. The controller comprise a single lift plate arranged under the gripper frame and between the gripper blades. A vertical upward movement of the lift plate moves the supporting strips to an engagement position to clamp the packaging units between the gripper blades and downward movement of the lift plate moves the supporting strips to a release position.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a system for packing packaging units in packaging boxes, having for both substantially rectangular boundaries and a rectangle-shaped supporting surface, comprising the following components, a package feeding track for feeding the packaging units, a box feeding track for feeding the empty packaging boxes, a box discharge track for discharging the filled packaging boxes, a gripper head for engaging the packaging units and placing these from a pick-up portion of the package feeding track into the packaging boxes at a filling location of the box discharge track, and a control unit for executing successive packing cycles, wherein all movements of the moving components mentioned are performed in a single vertical plane, wherein the movement for placing the packaging units in the packaging boxes proceeds exclusively vertically. In particular, at least at the location where the packaging units are engaged with the gripper head, the pick-up portion of the package feeding track comprises a separate portion which is removable, while after removal thereof an opening is obtained through which the gripper, with engaged packaging units, moves down, places the packaging units in such a packaging box positioned at the filling location, and is moved back again to the position for engaging next packaging units from the pick-up portion in a next cycle, after which the separate portion is re-placed. With such a system, shorter handling times and greater automation are obtained.
