Abstract:
A loading device for loading storage and transport receptacles or trays for plastic receptacles, such as plastic bottles, is disclosed which has a transport system for the trays that can be operated automatically and a transferring device for the plastic receptacles. The transferring device has a multi-gripper for securely grasping a predetermined number of plastic receptacles arranged in the form of a row. A stabilizing system is arranged in a loading station for the trays, which stabilizing system has a first support rack and a second support rack, which are arranged essentially parallel to one another and can be at least partially inserted into a tray that is to be loaded.
Abstract:
One aspect of the disclosure is a method of packaging a plurality siding panels. The method includes providing a plurality of siding panels, each siding panel having a front face, a rear face, top edge, a bottom edge, and a support member secured to the rear face, placing a first siding panel vertically within a box, the box having a first side, a second side, a top side, and a bottom side, and placing a second siding panel vertically within the box next to the first siding panel.
Abstract:
According to the invention, the device comprises at least one flap spreading head (12a, 12b), the flap spreading head being vertically mobile for insertion thereof into a container (3) to be processed and including first and second flap spreading blades (1211, 1212) mounted on pivots and an actuator (1221, 1222). The actuator is adapted to command rotation of the flap spreading blades that on rotating come into contact with flaps (R1a, R1b) and bring about spreading thereof by folds toward the exterior of the container.
Abstract:
A system for filling a container with relatively long thin tubes that are delivered on a tube conveyor. The system has a generally tubular-shaped insert with an at least partially open top and an open bottom, the insert sized and shaped to fit into the container and defining a width that is slightly larger than the length of the tubes and an insert holder that is adapted to engage the insert to hold the insert in place. There is a lift system that moves the container between an engaged position in which the container is located over the insert and a disengaged position in which the container is free from the insert, and movable clamps adapted to be moved between an engaged position in which they hold the container in position relative to the insert and a disengaged position in which the container can be moved relative to the insert. A pivot system pivots the insert holder about a pivot axis that is generally parallel to the longitudinal axes of the tubes. A flexible drape is adapted to be located at least in part in the insert and overlies tubes as they fill into the insert from the conveyor, to help keep the tubes aligned across the width of the insert.
Abstract:
Robotic pick-and-place automation is used to transfer oral solid pharmaceuticals from moveable trays or canisters. A variety of sensors are used in order to automatically verify that the oral solid pharmaceuticals have been properly placed in the desired oral solid pharmaceutical package locations precisely according to the patient prescription data. A pharmacist places oral solid pharmaceutical products within dispensing trays or canisters which are used to present the oral solid pharmaceutical products for picking and placing via the robotic pick-and-place machinery. Once the canister or tray is located adjacent the pick-and-place device, a further sensor or imaging unit associated with the pick-and-place device verifies that the oral solid pharmaceutical product presented by the tray or canister matches the size and shape and/or color of an expected oral solid pharmaceutical product that is to be placed within the packaging material in accordance with patient prescription data that is stored by a computer associated with the system. Additional sensors automatically verify that each individual oral solid pharmaceutical specified by a patient prescription have been deposited into each specified package location strictly in accordance with the patient prescription data.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an apparatus for delivering one or more items to a desired position on an item carrier, the apparatus comprising a drop conveyor comprising two conveyor sections that are laterally displaceable and controllable in order to enable dropping the one or more items at a desired position along the length of the drop conveyor, characterized in that the drop conveyor comprises guide means placed above the two conveyor sections, the guide means being laterally displaceable and controllable. The present invention further relates to a method of delivering one or more items to a desired position on an item carrier, the method comprising the steps of positioning the item carrier beneath a drop conveyor, transferring one or more items to the drop conveyor, positioning the items on the drop conveyor, adjusting side guides into contact with the items, and opening the drop conveyor so that the items are dropped.
Abstract:
There is presented a device and method for filling and advancing a series of containers including a first container and a next container. The device includes first and second assemblies having first and second restraining members respectively. The assemblies are positionable relative to each other in an object-receiving configuration in which the first restraining member and the second restraining member are inserted into the first container, and at least partially define a gap therebetween for deposition of an object. They are also positionable in a transitional configuration in which the second restraining member is raised relative to the first restraining member, and a lower portion of the second restraining member is positioned above and behind a leading internal face of the next container; and a container advancement configuration in which at least part of the second restraining member is in contact with and applying an advancement force to the leading internal face of the next container.
Abstract:
A device for loading deformable objects into a flexible container. The objects are controlled from a remote source point at least partially into the container. The device provides for simultaneous movement of fingers, between which the objects travel, in mutually orthogonal X, Y and Z directions.
Abstract:
This patent relates to a machine that automatically assembles, inspects, and packages disposable prophylaxis angles. The machine includes a movable table including a plurality of fixtures on which angle components are assembled and the assembled angles are inspected. The movable table is surrounded by a number of stations, each of which performs a different operation of the assembly and inspection procedure. Feeders automatically supply the angle components to their respective stations for assembly. Angles that are incorrectly assembled are automatically rejected. Properly assembled angles are automatically sealed in individual bags. Individually bagged angles are counted into batches by the machine and automatically sealed into cartons.
Abstract:
A conveyor system for assembling and stacking sliced food products is provided. The conveyor system includes an assembly area, wherein groups of a predetermined quantity of sliced food products travel from a slicer on a conveyor and are deposited on discrete carrier sheets on a downstream conveyor. The assembly area is configured to delay advancement of the carrier sheets on the downstream conveyor until a group of the predetermined quantity is formed. The slicer is configured to calculate the number of slices in each group and determine whether a group is complete. A stacking area of the conveyor system includes a nose conveyor that extends and retracts to deposit each carrier sheet onto a pair of initial supports. The initial supports reciprocate away from each other in opposing directions to drop the carrier sheet onto a subsequent level, with the initial supports reciprocating each time a carrier sheet is deposited thereon.
