    摘要: In some embodiments, a distance between the at least one light sensor and the surface may be calculated using a ratio representative of the phase difference using time-of-flight of light. The distance may be within a distance range defined by a distance of light travel during a modulation period of the predetermined frequency. The distance may be based on the ratio defined by an amount of energy stored from captured light during a first time interval and a second time interval, and a comparison of an amount of light stored from captured light during at least a third time interval. The first, second, and third time intervals are different, but may overlap in some instances. In some embodiments, the amount of ambient light may be identified and subtracted from the inputs of the ratio. A switch may be used to prevent oversaturation of a storage element storing the stored energy.

When operating in the reduced operational mode, the computing device may reduce power, reduce radiation output, and/or power off various components to achieve operation in accordance with an operational policy. While operating in the reduced operational mode, the computing device may restrict user access to or adjustment of the impacted components thereby preventing the user from restoring the computing device to the full operational mode, at least temporarily. In some aspects, the device may initiate or terminate the reduced operational mode in response to a signal from a beacon, parameters from a monitored environment, or in response to user commands. In various aspects, the device may provide messaging to inform the user about the modes of operation.

    摘要: A user can provide input to a computing device through various combinations of speech, movement, and/or gestures. A computing device can analyze captured audio data and analyze that data to determine any speech information in the audio data. The computing device can simultaneously capture image or video information which can be used to assist in analyzing the audio information. For example, image information is utilized by the device to determine when someone is speaking, and the movement of the person's lips can be analyzed to assist in determining the words that were spoken. Any gestures or other motions can assist in the determination as well. By combining various types of data to determine user input, the accuracy of a process such as speech recognition can be improved, and the need for lengthy application training processes can be avoided.
