摘要: A method of preparing resin sheets reinforced by glass and carbon strands is described in which the glass strands are passed through a resin bath. The glass strands are passed through a die as they emerge from the bath to control their resin content and wound on a mandrel. The carbon strands are passed directly into the die and are wetted by the resin in the die and on the mandrel. The glass and carbon strands are laid on the mandrel with resin to provide a resin sheet containing 5 to 70 percent glass by weight and 60 to 5 percent carbon strand by weight.

摘要: A method and apparatus are provided for efficiently encoding source data in radio frequency identification (RFID) systems. The encoded source data may also provide additional functionality such as data error detection and correction. A source data encoding and decoding method for a RFID system having a RFID transponder comprises the steps of obtaining the source data, encoding to provide more efficient data encodation that may also include data error detection and error correction, writing the encoded source data to a RFID transponder, reading the encoded source data from the RFID transponder, and decoding the encoded source data to recover the original source data. The encoding may utilize bar code symbology algorithms or a non-Full ASCII enhanced functionality character set. A source data encoding device and a decoding device for a RFID system may comprise a memory, a processor for running a program stored in the memory, a bar code printer for printing a bar code, a RFID transponder programmer for writing the data to the RFID transponder, a RFID interrogator for interrogating the RFID transponder, and a bar code reader to read a bar code. The data may be provided encoded or the device may encode/decode the data using coding algorithms. The RFID transponder stores the encoded source data, that may utilize a non-Full ASCII enhanced functionality character set, and the encoded data may be retrieved to recover the original source data.

摘要: A machine-readable symbol reader is operable to read one and two-dimensional machine-readable symbols such as barcode or matrix code symbols. The reader includes an imaging subsystem and a scanning subsystem. The reader initially attempts to acquire a symbol operating as a conventional imager. If unsuccessful, the reader then attempts to acquire a symbol operating as operating as a conventional scanner. If unsuccessful, the reader then employs an image sensor array of the imaging subsystem along with a scanning beam produced by the scanning subsystem, operating as a neither a conventional imager nor a conventional scanner.

摘要: An organic photoreceptor (“OPR”) including a barrier layer formed from a barrier layer coating composition including a cellulosic resin, methylvinyl ether/maleic anhydride copolymer, a polyamide, a crosslinker, and a combination thereof, provides sufficient protection to the organic photoreceptor from damage due to corona-induced charge injection; is substantially inert with respect to the organic photoconductive layer; exhibits sufficient resiliency to withstand shear, compressional and tensional forces exerted on the belt as it passes through an electrophotographic system when the photoreceptor is used in an endless belt form; and provides sufficient protection to limit or prevent a liquid toner from contacting the organic photoconductor that may result in crazing and/or cracking of the organic photoreceptor during use.
