    摘要: A cathode-precipitating electrodeposition coating composition consisting essentially of (A) 100 parts of a high-molecular-weight compound having a molecular weight of 500 to 10,000 and containing an amino group and a carbon-carbon double bond, (B) 3 to 200 parts by weight of a reaction product obtained by reacting an unsaturated carboxylic acid having 3 or 4 carbon atoms with the terminal glycidyl group of a glycidyl compound obtained by reacting a bisphenol with epichlorohydrin, and (C) 0.2 to 20 parts by weight of an oil-soluble manganese salt of a monoester of a 1,2-dicarboxylic acid or a manganese salt of sulfonated or maleinized polybutadiene having a molecular weight of 300 to 3,000.

    摘要: A coating composition for cathode-precipitating electrodeposition consisting essentially of(A) 100 parts by weight of an unsaturated organic compound having a molecular weight of 500 to 10,000 containing a carbon-carbon double bond in an amount corresponding to an iodine value of 100 to 500, said unsaturated organic compound having bonded thereto, through a carbon-carbon bond, basic groups of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, R.sub.4 and X are as defined in claim 1, the amount of said basic groups in said component (A) being 0.02 to 0.3 mole per 100 g of said component (A), and(B) 3 to 100 parts by weight of at least one compound represented by the general formula ##STR2## wherein R.sub.5, R.sub.6, n, m, Y and Y' are as defined in claim 1, said component (A) and said component (B) being neutralized with an organic acid or an inorganic acid and dissolved or dispersed in water.

    摘要: A process for preparing a cathodic electrodepositable coating composition which comprises, in sequence,(i) epoxidizing a high-molecular-weight compound containing a carbon-carbon double bond and having a molecular weight of 500 to 10,000 and an iodine value of 100 to 500 to form an epoxidized high-molecular-weight compound containing 0.5 to 12% by weight of oxirane oxygen,(ii) reacting a part of the epoxy groups of the epoxidized high-molecular-weight compound with a basic amine compound of the general formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2, independently from each other, represent a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms which may be partly replaced by a hydroxyl group, and R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 together may form a cyclic structure,(iii) reacting a part or the whole of the remaining epoxy groups with an .alpha.,.beta.-unsaturated monocarboxylic acid of the general formula ##STR2## wherein R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 represent a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, at least one of them being a hydrogen atom,to prepare a resin composition, and(iv) neutralizing the resin composition with an organic or inorganic acid to render it water-soluble or water-dispersible.
