The method may also include operating the handheld calculator in a configuration mode in which the handheld calculator sends a request for association to the network host system, wherein the request includes a unique identifier of the first handheld calculator, and acceptance of the request by the network host system, wherein authentication information for the handheld calculator is stored by the network host system to indicate that the first handheld calculator is associated with the classroom network.

    摘要: A method of performing wireless communications. The method receives at a receiving unit a sequence of data blocks from a transmitting unit. The method also identifies at the receiving unit a first number of invalid sequential data blocks in the sequence and a second number of valid sequential data blocks in the sequence. The method also communicates from the receiving unit a wireless message to the transmitting unit. The wireless message comprises a first field that specifies the first number and a second field that specifies the second number—the encoding of the first field is operable to specify a different maximum than an encoding of the second field.

    摘要: Network circuitry and a method of operating the same in establishing and deleting a service flow in a wireless network. A network station receives a request, from an initiating network station, to establish a service flow. The network station receiving the request issues a response to that request, following which it expects an acknowledgement from the initiator. Upon absence of such an acknowledgement, the receiving station transmits a message, to the initiator, to explicitly delete the service flow. This ensures that the initiator is not placed into an ambiguous state of transmitting payload traffic to a receiver that is ignoring or not receiving that traffic, in the case in which the initiator is also the transmitter of the payload traffic. This circuitry and method also ensures that the initiator is not in an ambiguous state, in the case in which it is the intended receiver of the payload traffic.
