    摘要: An apparatus and method for supporting Quality of Service (QoS) in a wideband wireless communication system using multiple Frequency Allocations (FAs) are provided. In a transmitting method for packet distribution in the wideband wireless communication system, the method includes, during a network entry process, determining a number of FAs through multi-FA capability negotiation; distributing packets, received from a superordinate layer, through the multiple FAs; and transmitting the packets distributed through the multiple FAs. Accordingly, packets can be effectively distributed through multiple FAs, and QoS can be effectively provided.

In the method, the amount of resources necessary for a transmission of data to a user terminal and the amount of the remaining allocable resources are detected. A resource allocation scheme is selected in consideration of the amount of resources necessary for the transmission of the data to the user terminal and the amount of the remaining resources. A group index of radio resources for the user terminal is determined according to the selected resource allocation scheme. Radio resources corresponding to the determined group index are allocated to the user terminal.

    摘要: An uplink scheduling apparatus and method in a communication system are provided. In the uplink scheduling method, a scheduling metric is calculated for each Mobile Station (MS). An MS with a high priority level is selected according to the calculated scheduling metric. The number of subchannels and a product of a modulation order and coding rate (MPR) are extracted according to input variables for the selected MS. The number of subchannels to be allocated to the selected MS is determined according to the MPR and the subchannels are allocated to the selected MS. The scheduling metric is updated for the each MS.
