摘要: Limited-play optical medium with improved shelf stability are formed from a plurality of layers, including in sequence: (a) a first substrate layer; (b) a data layer; (c) a reflective layer; (d) a reactive layer comprising a dye having a reduced state and an oxidized state and further comprising an oxidized form of a reducing agent effective to convert the dye from the oxidized state to the reduced state, and (e) a second substrate layer. The dye in the reduced state is substantially transparent to light of wavelengths used to read the optical medium, and the dye in the oxidized state absorbs light of wavelengths used to read the optical medium. The reflective metal layer is formed from a metal or metal alloy that is not significantly oxidized by the oxidized form of the reducing agent. For example, the reflective metal layer is suitably formed from silver or gold.

摘要: Polycarbonate compositions comprising copolymers of bis-(4-hydroxyphenyl)methane and 2,2-bis-(4-hydroxyphenyl)propane are described and they unexpectedly display high glass transition temperatures, high impact resistances, flame retardant properties and superior brittle ductile transition temperature.

摘要: A composite material consisting of continuous random glass mats with a new non-peroxide sizing chemistry, polypropylene and a functionalized polypropylene. This composite gives unexpectedly higher performance in bumper beam applications. The functionalized polypropylene contains anhydride functionalities, which are preferably maleic anhydride.

摘要: One method for playing a disk, comprises illuminating a first portion of the optical article with a first laser to obtain a first optical signal, wherein the first laser has a first wavelength, illuminating a second portion with a second laser to obtain a second optical signal, wherein the second laser has a second wavelength that is different from the first wavelength, and determining if the optical article is authentic by comparing the first optical signal and the second optical signal.
