    摘要: A vacuum interrupter comprising each electrode assembly of a pair of electrode assemblies having substantially the same structure and arranged in an evacuated envelope in opposed relationship adapted to be connected with or disconnected from each other. Each electrode assembly includes a coil electrode having a plurality of arms extending outwardly from a center ring shaped holding part and a plurality of arc-shaped coil parts formed substantially along the same circumference of the coil electrode and connected to respective ones of the arms, a main electrode including an arc-shaped arm electrically connected to each arc-shaped coil part of the coil electrode, the coil parts being in contact with corresponding ones of the arc-shaped arms along entire surfaces thereof, and a first arm connected to each of the arc-shaped arms of the main electrode and extended substantially toward a center of the main electrode in the radial direction. The first arms of one of electrode assemblies are arranged in substantially the same direction as the direction of first arms in the other electrode assembly arranged in opposed relationship to the electrode assembly.

    摘要: In a spot welder in which the electric charge stored in an electrolytic capacitor (1a) is discharged through a welding circuit 3 to perform a welding operation, in order to prevent the lowering of the welding performance due to the inversion in polarity of the voltage of the electrolytic capacitor (1a), its main circuit includes another electrolytic capacitor (1b) which is connected in series to a DC source (5) and shunted by a resistor (7) and which is substantially equal in capacitance to the aforementioned electrolytic capacitor (1a), and after the electrolytic capacitor (1a) only is charged, a switch (2) is turned on so that the charge current of the electrolytic capacitor (1a) is discharged to charge the electrolytic capacitor (1b), whereby charging the electrolytic capacitors (1a) and (1b) in opposite directions is prevented.

    摘要: The present invention is directed to a high current density glow discharge switch which is capable of preventing confinement of an electron current to the vicinity of the center of a flat electrode during the operation of the switch to prevent an increase in the temperature of the flat electrode and thereby provide a highly reliable and stable switch having a long lifetime. A cathode and an anode each include a flat electrode having a central hole and a cup-shaped electrode electrically connected to the flat electrode. The cathode and the anode are disposed such that the flat electrodes face each other. A cylindrical insulator is disposed on the outside of the cathode and the anode. A coil for generating a magnetic field is disposed on the outside of the cylindrical insulator. Hydrogen gas is sealed in a sealed space defined by the cylindrical insulator, the cathode and the anode.
