    摘要: An exemplary vacuum interrupter arrangement for a medium voltage circuit breaker includes a vacuum housing within which a pair of electrical contacts are coaxially arranged and concentrically surrounded by the cylindrical shaped vacuum housing. The electrical contacts are formed as a type of TMF-contacts, each having a slotted cup-shaped contact part which is attached to the distal end of a contact shaft and which is covered by a contact ring disposed on a rim of the cup-shaped contact part, wherein each cup-shaped contact part is provided with a vertical inward bending towards the contact ring. The outer diameter of the bottom section of the cup-shaped contact part is larger than the outer diameter of its rim section, in order to alter the Lorentz force to a respective inward direction.

    摘要: A design for a winding is based on a material of low electrical resistance, such as copper, and of a diameter typically greater than 90 mm, intended to generate a magnetic field in an electrical contact for a medium voltage vacuum circuit-breaker. The winding includes a hollow cylinder including helical slots that are empty of material, arranged in parallel around its longitudinal axis, and that open out both to the hollow and to the outside of the cylinder. The angular length of each helical slot is equal to at least 360°. The design makes it possible to increase the level of the axial magnetic field (AMF) obtained by the winding(s) incorporated into an electrical contact of a vacuum circuit-breaker while improving uniformity, symmetry of the field, and production cost.

    摘要: The invention relates to a contact arrangement for a vacuum interrupter chamber (1), which comprises a pair of inner contact pieces (11, 12), configured as RMF contact pieces, and a pair of outer contact pieces (21, 22) which are connected in parallel and are mounted closely adjacent to the inner contact pieces (11, 12). At least one of the inner contact pieces (11, 12) is movably mounted. The outer contact pieces (21, 22) are also configured as RMF contact pieces. During interruption, the resulting electric arc can commutate completely or partially to the pair of outer contact pieces (21, 22). The inner contact pieces are substantially discoid. Advantageously, the contact pieces (11, 12, 21, 22) are coaxially positioned in relation to each other. The outer contact pieces (21, 22) are advantageously pot-shaped or tubular.

    摘要: An improved vacuum interrupter is disclosed. The vacuum interrupter includes end covers having a curved or looped portion, which serves to connect a coil segment of the vacuum interrupter to a ceramic envelope of the vacuum interrupter, and thereby help maintain a vacuum seal for the interrupter. The curved portion acts as a spring when the vacuum interrupter is exposed to heat, thereby absorbing any expansion or contraction in the length of the vacuum interrupter due to the heating or cooling. The curved portion also protects an end of the ceramic envelope from any build-up of metallic arcing products and eliminates the need for elaborate fixturing during assembly. Additionally, a guide may be affixed to the end cover, the guide having ears which ride in a slot in a moving rod of the vacuum interrupter, to thereby prevent a twisting of a bellows of the interrupter during a brazing process. Thus, no elaborate fixturing is necessary to prevent this twisting.
