    摘要: According to one embodiment, a starter for a small engine includes: a torque apply unit that applies a torque to a torque-accumulation spring; a rotating member that transmits the accumulated torque to a crankshaft; and a rotation regulation unit that restrains the accumulated torque from being transmitted to the crankshaft, wherein the rotation regulation unit includes: a regulation ratchet provided on a rotating body linked with the crank shaft to rotate therewith; and a pressing unit provided on an engine case to be engaged with the regulation ratchet and to regulate an operation thereof, and wherein the regulation ratchet is disengaged from the pressing unit by the torque accumulated in the torque-accumulation spring when the accumulated torque exceeds a predetermined resilient force, thereby starting the engine.

    摘要: According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a recoil starter including: a case having a reel supporting shaft; a rope reel having: a tubular shaft portion; an engaging portion; a rope housing groove to house a recoil rope; and a spring housing portion to house a spiral spring; a ratchet axially-slidably arranged outside the tubular shaft portion; a ratchet guide attached to an end of the reel supporting shaft; and a return spring provided between the ratchet guide and the ratchet, wherein an inclined surface and a locking surface are formed on the engaging portion to be engageable with the ratchet, and wherein the inclined surface guides the ratchet toward to be engaged with the driving pulley, thereby rotating the driving pulley and starting the engine, when the rope reel is rotated.

A damper unit connects the rope reel and the cam, and a reel support shaft supports the rope reel and the cam. A draw-out preventing unit restricts the reel/cam unit from being moved along the reel support shaft. One side of the cam is extended to form a cylindrical extended portion, where the rope reel is fitted to an outer side of the cylindrical extended portion. The cylindrical extended portion is rotatably fitted to an outer side of the reel support shaft.

    摘要: A recoil starter enabling a power-driven device to be coupled to a crankshaft of an engine in a state where the recoil starter is mounted to the crankshaft on the same side of the engine as the crankshaft is disposed on. A starter housing is provided on an inside thereof with a reel support shaft which projects coaxially with the crankshaft. A rope reel having a recoil rope wound thereon and a cam, which transmits rotation via centrifugal ratchets to the crankshaft, are rotatably mounted on the reel support shaft while they are rotatingly coupled to each other via a damper spring. An opening is formed in the reel support shaft so as to extend from a distal end thereof near the crankshaft to the outside of the starter housing. A drive shaft of the device is coupled to the crankshaft inside the opening. An annular plate is secured to the starter housing to prevent the cam and rope reel from being detached from the reel support shaft.

    摘要: A rotary cutter for a mower is provided wherein the cord delivering operation, which is necessary when the free end of the cord is worn, is carried out only when the rotary cutter is rotated at a low speed or is stopped. The rotary cutter includes a cord for cutting grass upon rotation thereof, a reel which holds the cord and allows delivering of the cord while the reel is intermittently rotated, a cover for a case which houses the reel, and a press body which protrudes downwardly from the case and is movable in an axial direction upon pressing so as to intermittently rotate the reel. A return spring for biasing the press body in a direction to protrude the press body from the case between the reel and the press body is also provided. The press body and the case engage each other such that the press body is slidable in an axial direction while preventing relative rotation with each other. By pressing the press body against the biasing return spring, a set of protrusions formed on the press body are detachably engaged with protrusions formed on the reel so as to intermittently rotate the reel.
