    摘要: A display device includes a substrate having plural signal lines connected to switching elements which are formed in an image display region, and plural terminals connected to respective ones of the signal lines. The terminals include a first group arranged at an image display region side and a second group arranged remote from the image display region side, the terminals being connected to output terminals of a driving circuit. The output terminals include a first group arranged at the image display region side and a second group arranged remote from the image display region side. The first group of terminals connect the first group of output terminals, and the second group of terminals connect the second group of output terminals. An area of a respective output terminal of the second group is larger than an area of a respective output terminal of the first group.

    摘要: A liquid crystal display device having a circuit board mounting with a chip component which has a pair of electrodes disposed at its respective ends thereon, and a pair of land areas on the circuit board to which the pair of electrodes are soldered respectively. Each of the pair of land areas is covered with a protrusion of a solder resist layer protruding from a middle point of an edge thereof opposite to another edge thereof facing another of the pair of land areas toward a center thereof. The distance L between the protrusions of the solder resist layer satisfies an inequality: L≧EL where EL is a distance between the outer ends of the pair of electrodes of the chip component.

    摘要: At terminal portions, the occurrence of electrolytic corrosion can be suppressed and, at the same time, the connection resistance between the terminal portions and other electrodes to be connected is largely reduced. On a liquid-crystal-side surface of one substrate out of a pair of substrates which are arranged to face each other by way of liquid crystal, signal lines, an insulation film covering the signal lines, terminal portions having one portions of the signal lines exposed by forming holes in the insulation film, and conductive oxide films laminated to the terminal portions are formed. The conductive oxide films are laminated to peripheries of the terminal portions except for the centers of the terminal portions.

    摘要: A liquid crystal display is provided with respective signal lines and a semiconductor chip. Respective output bumps of the semiconductor chip are connected to corresponding respective signal lines through ax anisotropic conductive layer. The respective output bumps include a first group of output bumps which are arranged at a side close to the signal lines and a second group of output bumps which are arranged at a side remote from the signal lines. The area of respective bumps of the second group of output bumps which face the signal lines in an opposed manner is set larger than the area of respective bumps of the first group of output bumps which face the signal lines in an opposed manner. Due to such a constitution, a reliable connection between the mounted semiconductor integrated circuit and the signal lines is ensured.
