    摘要: A novel technique to improve and extend endurance and reliability of a memory device utilizing multi-level cells is disclosed. As a memory device ages, it's reliability deteriorates. Prior to the memory device becoming completely unreliable, the memory device transitions from a multi-level cell operating mode to a reduced capacity operating mode. When operating in the multi-level cell mode, the memory system stores multiple bits per cell. The memory system stores fewer bits per cell when operating in the reduced capacity. The transition between modes is achieved by setting all bits of a particular memory page to a specific value, for example, either a logic “1” or a logic “0.”

    摘要: A chain belt for stepless speed change transmission is provided wherein the connecting link rocker pins are arranged so that when the chain links are rotated relative to each other the pitch changes. This phenomena is used to reduce the drive noise generated with standard types of chain belts when they wrap around the drive pulley, due to a change in the relative speed of the drive block. From tests it is found that having the drive blocks outside of the chain line is more effective in reducing this relative velocity. Further having oval shaped drive blocks reduces the stress concentration at the region where load is transferred from the pulley to the chain belt, and by having an oval shape instead of a round shape the inclined end contact faces can be positively aligned to mate properly with the drive faces of the pulleys.

    摘要: This invention relates to a process for purifying crystalline substances by charging the feed crystals containing impurities in a solid state to the top of a tower-type continuous crystallizer equipped with an agitating device, bringing said solid feed crystals into countercurrent contact with the melt formed by melting the descending crystals by a heating device provided in the lower section, taking out the purified crystals as melt from the lower section, and taking out the mother liquor containing the concentrated impurities from the upper section and comprises maintaining the temperature of the mother liquor existing in the upper section in a specified range by either heating the feed crystals or the upper section of the continuous crystallizer or making the average particle diameter of the feed crystals 2.5 mm or more. This procedure makes it possible to form good crystals and a slurry layer in the crystallization tower and yield a crystalline product of high purity in high yield even when applied to feed crystals of reportedly inferior properties.

    摘要: This invention relates to a process for purifying benzoic acid continuously to a purity of 99.9% or more by introducing crystals of crude benzoic acid with a bulk density of 0.2 g/cm3 or more and an average particle diameter of 0.3 mm or more into a continuous crystallization apparatus equipped with a stirrer and a heating device from the upper portion of the apparatus, effecting counter-current contact of the falling crystals of crude benzoic acid with the melt generated by heating with the heating device, withdrawing the purified benzoic acid as melt from the lower portion of the apparatus, and withdrawing the mother liquor from the upper portion of the apparatus. The process makes it possible to prepare high-purity benzoic acid continuously in a relatively simple apparatus at high efficiency.
