    摘要: A search device and associated methods use music emotions to browse, organize and retrieve music collections. The search device comprises a processor and an interface. The processor uses machine learning techniques to determine music emotion according to music features and organizes music by emotions for browsing and retrieving music collections. The interface connects to the processor and allows a person to retrieve desired music from the processor. Methods associated with the search device comprise a processor initialization method, a method of loading new music into the search device and several methods of retrieving desired music from the search device.

    摘要: A rate control method of perceptual-based rate-distortion (R-D) optimized bit allocation is disclosed. An input frame is firstly determined as a key frame or non-key frame. A key frame is additionally encoded to generate rate-distortion (R-D) points. The R-D model of each basic unit (BU) is updated, followed by perceptual-based bit allocation, thereby generating a target bit rate. A quantization parameter (QP) is computed according to the target bit rate, and the current BU is encoded according to the QP. A rate-quantization (R-Q) model is updated if not all BUs have been encoded.

    摘要: The present invention is directed to a rate-distortion optimized (RDO) transform and quantization system. A frame classification unit classifies an input frame as either a key frame or a non-key frame. A rate model update unit generates at least one model parameter of a rate model according to a transform coefficient and a bitrate resulted from an encoded key frame. An RDO transform and quantization unit processes the input frame, thereby generating a quantized transform coefficient according to the model parameter. A frame buffer is used to store a previous frame, according to which the bitrate is estimated.

    摘要: An image-based vehicle safety warning system is disclosed, which uses an image retrieval module for receiving an image signal and camera parameters related to the source of the image signal into a space definition module, which defines an image space and warning areas of different levels in the image space. Then, an object identification module identifies parts of a possible vehicle in the image according to the image signal and variations thereof. A warning indication module then obtains an interrelation by locating the position of the vehicle within the image space and comparing the vehicle position with the warning areas, thereby providing alarms in different levels based on the interrelation.

    摘要: A digital image stabilization method that integrates a digital stabilization device and a digital video encoder is disclosed. The digital stabilization device comprises a determining module for determining background regions, a comparison module for calculating motion vectors, and an adjustment module for adjusting jerky image motion in frames. When there are frame jiggles, the motion vector between an I frame and a P frame is used for motion estimation to get a first motion vector and also define a background region of the P frame. Next, a second motion vector of a B frame is calculated according to the background region to adjust jerky motion of the P frame and the B frame for stabilization. The next P frame then uses the background region of the preceding P frame as its background region.
