摘要: There is provided a method and corresponding lighting device (100), and a receiver, which employs code modulation which provides a compatibility of code modulation in a dimmable lighting system. The lighting device comprises means for dimming the output light (102), which employs multiple dimming modes, each representing dimming the light output from lighting device by means of a respective dimming method, and means for embedding a code in the light output (103). The means for embedding a code in the light output employs code modulation which is based on controlling the instantaneous dimmed light output from the lighting device such that the integrated value of the dimmed light output during a time period T is modulated to embed the code. The code may then subsequently be extracted from the modulated light by means of an integrate-and-dump process at a receiver, without knowledge of the dimming method and/or dimming level of the lighting device.

摘要: Coded light has been proposed to enable advanced control of light sources and transmit information using light sources. An assignment for the identification frequencies of light sources enables more unique frequencies to be assigned, i.e. more light sources to be uniquely identified in the system. An available frequency band is divided into non-uniform frequency regions and frequencies are selected from a set of uniformly spaced frequencies in the non-uniform frequency regions. A receiver is based on a successive approach and is enabled to analyze higher harmonics of the received light signals. The light contributions are successively estimated group by group.

The calculator comprises:—an electronic filter arranged to prepare the illumination signal for estimation of the daylight and artificial light contributions;—a daylight part and an artificial light part, respectively connected to the electronic filter. The artificial light part comprises an artificial light DC component estimator, and the daylight part comprises a total DC component estimator, and a subtractor connected to the total DC component estimator and to the artificial light DC component estimator, and being arranged to determine the daylight contribution as the difference between their outputs. The artificial light DC component estimator is arranged to include present luminaire dimming level data and modulation depth data regarding the light coding modulation in a basis of its estimation.

摘要: A direction controllable lighting unit (10) and use thereof in a lighting system (40) are described. A lighting unit (10) has means (16) for directing the light emission (22) into different directions. A plurality of light sources (20a, 20b) are mounted on a common body (14). The light sources (20a, 20b) are disposed to emit directed light into different directions. The light is modulated to contain identification codes ‘A’, ‘B’, which are unique. Within the lighting system (40), an optical sensor (46) is arranged in a region illuminated by the lighting unit (10). The optical sensor (46) demodulates the received light according to the identification code. A control unit (44) is connected to the optical sensor (46) and to the lighting unit (10) to control the direction of the lighting unit (10) based on information from the optical sensor (46).

摘要: Coded light has been proposed to enable advanced control of light sources and transmit information using light sources. It is based on invisibly embedding of data and identifiers in their light output. Methods, devices and systems configured to efficient assignment of addresses in a coded lighting system, still allowing for unique identification, are proposed. More specifically, the assignment of addresses occurs in two phases, where in the initial phase wide area unique addresses are used, while in the second phase only local area unique addresses are used. Also, methods, devices and systems configured to efficiently distribute a set of addresses over a set of light sources in this second phase, to maximize the performance of the illumination contribution estimation, and positioning, are disclosed.

摘要: In summary, the invention relates to a device, a system, a method and a computer program for spectrum sensing. A detection procedure for detecting a signal of interest or an event by using a plurality of sensing devices capable of communicating with a central unit is proposed. The sensing devices can compute soft detection metrics and communicate this information to a central unit, where the information may be used to make a final detection decision using a certain specified rule. The signaling overhead of the proposed approach can be of the same order as that of a hard signaling approach. However, the proposed approach may achieve a better detection performance.
