摘要: An optical sensor includes a light transmitter for transmitting pulsed light signals and a light receiver for receiving them. In order to suppress the effects of interfering noise light, the light signals are transmitted according to a specified pattern including pulses in packages separated from each other by a specified interval, the pulses within each of the packages following one another with a specified carrier frequency. Groups each including two or more such pulse packages may be employed. The light receiver converts a received light signal into an electrical signal and directly thereafter passes the electrical signal through a bandpass filter with a pass band including this carrier frequency. The light receiver may normalize received electrical pulses by suppressing those which are too low or narrow and uniformizing the width of those not suppressed, expand the pulses with the uniformized widths to improve accuracy of evaluation, integrate the expanded pulses and examine whether the integrated signal exceeds a specified threshold value.

摘要: An operating device with a two-dimensional dialogue movement for selecting and calling functions and groups of functions, especially for use in motor vehicles. The dialogue can be moved in a first dimension by rotating a rotary switch that is in a first axial position. The dialogue can be moved in a second dimension by turning the rotary switch which is in a second axial position. The selected functions or groups of functions can be called by another switch. A device feeds back the selected functions or groups of functions optically, acoustically, and/or haptically.

摘要: In a night-vision system, an area surrounding a motor vehicle is recorded by a recording apparatus and information about recorded objects is displayed on a display. The recording apparatus has a laser light source and a laser detection apparatus, with the laser light source transmitting laser pulses which scan the area in front of the motor vehicle. The laser detection apparatus uses the laser pulses reflected from objects to detect the position and/or movement direction of the objects. The position of those objects whose position and/or movement direction is relevant for the motor vehicle is displayed in an emphasized form on the display.

摘要: A method for representing the front field of vision from a motor vehicle on a display panel of a display includes sensing, by an infrared camera system, the field of vision and feeding corresponding infrared data to a data processing unit. The infrared data is modified in the data processing unit on the basis of further information which is fed to the data processing unit and supplied as display data for actuating the display. The infrared camera system is a near-infrared camera system which senses the light from an infrared light source which is reflected from the field of vision and supplies it as corresponding near-infrared data to the data processing unit. A further infrared camera system is a far-infrared camera system which senses the thermal radiation from the field of vision which is fed as corresponding far-infrared data to the data processing unit. Furthermore, the physical variables from the field of vision which are sensed by one or more sensors are fed as corresponding sensor data to the data processing unit.

摘要: The invention relates to an assistance system for assisting a driver of a motor vehicle having a plurality of external and internal view sensors (video sources) which supply traffic-related, visual data items, an object detection unit which is connected downstream of the external and internal view sensors, an evaluation logic for evaluating the output variable of the object detection unit and having output channels whose output signals inform the driver by means of a man/machine interface. In order to propose an autonomous system which decides independently, in accordance with the detected objects, whether and how the driver is informed or which engages autonomously in the vehicle movement dynamics in order, for example, to avoid a collision, the invention provides that a decision unit (3) is provided which, when a traffic-related object or a traffic-related situation is detected by the external view sensors (11, 12) and internal view sensors (15, 16), logically combines the visual data items with the output signals, which inform the driver, from the output channels with the effect of controlling or influencing the man/machine interface (4).
