摘要: In a method of automatically logging in a website, a computer system is powered on and then automatically opens a browser and inputs a user's personal information to log in at least one website without any user operation. The method includes the steps of (1) initializing a computer system that allows connection of a removable storage device thereto, so that the computer system is able to automatically log in a website; (2) Determining whether there is any information in connection with websites allowing the user to log in, and entering any required information or automatically logging in the websites; and (3) ending the login.

摘要: A portable data storage device includes a control unit coupled via a predetermined interface with a computer having an operating system with user authority limits, and a memory divided into a segment I for storing related applications, a public segment II for temporarily storing instructions and data, and a hidden segment III for saving client data. In a method of accessing data via the portable data storage device, when the computer is to write data into or read data from the segment III, the data to be written or read is first temporarily stored in the segment II, and specific read or write instructions for a read/write level application interface are written into the segment II by the applications in the segment I and executed, so as to complete data exchange and access between the portable data storage device and the computer.

摘要: A portable data storage device allowing dynamic setting of disk type thereof includes a flash memory that includes at least two segments preset as a CD-ROM segment and a fixed type hard drive segment. When the portable data storage device is plugged in a processing unit of an electronic apparatus, one of the two segments having a non-applicable disk type is hidden depending on an operating system under which the processing unit operates, so that the processing unit may detect only another one of the two segments that has an applicable disk type. A method for dynamically setting an applicable disk type of the portable data storage device is also provided.

摘要: A method of overcurrent protection for multi-slot flash memory card reader mainly includes integrating overcurrent protection circuit and power-supply circuit for the multiple slots of the card reader into one single control chip; and, when the overcurrent protection circuit detects an overcurrent at a particular slot, cutting off power supply to that particular slot of the card reader and enabling an overcurrent state register, so that a signal is provided to firmware in the control chip to display an icon of the card reader on a computer as a state indicating an abnormal condition. Whereby, the card reader and a flash memory card inserted therein, or other apparatus connected thereto would not be damaged when an overcurrent occurs, and a user may clearly know the exact point on the card reader where the overcurrent occurs.

摘要: A method of data transmission for transmitting data between a host and a consumptive electronic apparatus without USB interface via an interconnecting interface that has an end being a USB for connecting to the host. The method includes the steps of generating an instruction by the host; sending the instruction to the consumptive electronic apparatus without USB interface via the interconnecting interface; and verifying the instruction at the consumptive electronic apparatus without USB interface and then executing any movement requested by the instruction, and feeding back a signal of executing result to the host. Therefore, a consumptive electronic apparatus without USB interface may be connected to a host for data transmission at reduced cost.
