A broadcast data display method for a digital broadcast receiver is provided. In response to a broadcast reception request from a user, a channel list having identifiers of available channels is displayed. Broadcast data of a channel selected by the user from the channel list is displayed on a screen in a full-screen mode. In response to a request of all-channel view during channel list display or broadcast reception, the screen is divided into display areas corresponding to the individual available channels of the channel list. Real-time broadcast data of the selected channel is displayed in a corresponding display area of the screen. Still images of the remaining channels are displayed simultaneously or sequentially in their corresponding display areas.
Abstract:
A digital broadcast receiver and broadcast data display method enabling simultaneous display of multi-channel visual images are disclosed. The broadcast data display method includes receiving digital broadcast data on a plurality of channels; simultaneously outputting on a single screen real-time broadcast data of a selected channel and still images of the remaining channels; and periodically updating the still images of the remaining channels. Thereby, up-to-date multi-channel visual images are simultaneously output. Hence, the user can easily perform channel selection and channel switching.

A multichannel picture display method and system for a digital broadcast-enabled terminal is provided for receiving multiple service channels and displaying broadcast data of the multiple service channels simultaneously in response to a channel navigation request. A method for outputting broadcast data in a terminal according to the present invention includes outputting first broadcast data received through a currently selected service channel in a broadcast playback mode, receiving at least one second broadcast data through adjacent service channels of the currently selected service channel while outputting the first broadcast data, composing a multichannel screen comprising a main preview window for outputting a corresponding broadcast data received through a currently selected service channel and at least one sub preview windows for outputting at least one corresponding broadcast data received through the adjacent service channels, if a channel navigation is requested, and outputting the first broadcast data in any one of the at least one sub preview windows and any one of the at least one second broadcast data in the main preview window.

Disclosed is a method of creating motion pictures in a portable device. The method includes detecting whether an event occurs while a stored motion picture file is being played, if an event occurs, extracting and playing a video stream of the motion picture file simultaneously after the occurrence, and creating a user motion picture file by producing a user audio stream and compounding the user audio stream with the extracted video stream. Further disclosed is a method of providing contents in a portable device. This method includes selecting a stored receiver's information, saving and playing simultaneously, if an event occurs, a video stream of the motion picture file after the occurrence, creating a customized audio stream according to the receiver's information and producing a user's motion picture file by compounding the audio stream with the video stream, attaching the user's motion picture file to a message, and transmitting the message.

A 3d image processing apparatus and method for generating a three-dimensional (3D) image from two-dimensional (2D) images are provided. An image file format of the present invention includes an image start segment for indicating a start of an image file; an image information segment for storing information on the image file; a two-dimensional image segment for storing first two-dimensional image data; and an image end segment for indicating and end of the image file, wherein the image information segment comprises a variable length information field for storing information indicating the image information segment contains three-dimensional image and three-dimensional image data.
