    摘要: A bandage has a substantially planar, flexible substrate with an upper surface and a lower surface. The upper surface of the substrate has a raised portion having a quad lobe outline and being formed of circles or ovals. A layer of adhesive is attached to the lower surface of the substrate. An aperture is formed through the substrate, and a substantially planar cap is provided having boundaries and dimensions sufficient to cover the aperture. A hinge is optionally attached to one boundary of the cap and to the substrate, so the cap may be removed or replaced or slid aside to view a wound normally covered thereby.

    摘要: CYMBAL SKIN is a one-piece removable disc-like muffling device for the percussion instrument known as a cymbal. It will be made from pliable, stretchy gum rubber approximately ⅛″ thick. The main body and surface texture will be smooth. The disc will stretch around the cymbal's circumference and “tuck” under its edge.The material surrounding the cymbal bell will be upraised from the main body to resemble a “turtle-neck” look; providing an additional playing surface for the musician/drummer.The material following and curling under the outer edge of the cymbal will also have an upraised buildup called a “reinforcement ring.” Visually, this reinforcement ring will resemble that of pizza dough. The reinforcement ring serves to add strength to the device design so the long-term damaging affects of being struck by a drumstick will be minimized.Cymbal Skins will be produced in 15 different diameter sizes (in inches) ranging from 6 to 24.

    摘要: Methods, controllers for data storage, data storage systems, and computer program products are directed to migrating data after the initial placement of the data in data storage entities having higher speed and in other data storage. Steps of a method to migrate data to the higher speed data storage are (1) identifying at least one group of data having had at least one I/O activity in each of a plurality of intervals of time, occurring over a string of multiple intervals of time, wherein the I/O activity is with respect to the other data storage from which data is to be migrated. The time for each of the multiple intervals is selected such that bursts of the I/O activity are likely to be contained in one interval. (2) The identified group of data is classified to the higher speed data storage and migrated.

    摘要: A turbomachinery device operable in either a compressor mode or a turbine mode. The device includes an impeller that rotates in the same direction in both modes, and the general flow direction remains the same in both modes. An inlet flow-guiding device may be included to direct fluid into the impeller. The impeller is coupled to a motor/generator, which operates as a motor to add power to the impeller in the compressor mode, and as a generator in the turbine mode to extract mechanical power from the impeller and convert it into electrical power. An outlet flow-guiding device may also be included. The inlet and outlet flow-guiding devices can be inlet and outlet guide vanes that are variable in setting angle or are extendable and retractable into and out of the flow path, or can be other types of flow-guiding devices.

A plurality of data structures each have entries identifying data from a first computer readable medium added to a second computer readable medium. A request is received for data in the first computer readable medium. A determination is made as to whether there is an entry for the requested data in one of the data structures. The requested data is retrieved from the first computer readable medium to store in the second computer readable medium in response to determining that there is no entry for the requested data in one of the data structures. One of the data structures is selected in response to determining that there is no entry for the requested data in one of the data structures and an entry for the retrieved data is added to the selected data structure.
